well about this time last year I made a thread 'cars that won’t make it to the gathering' which I feel is a little too depressing this time around haha so how about it, a few ( 2 ot 3 ) pics showing your projects how big or small that the deadline is the Gathering? I'll start my plan was to arrive in this for the gathering 2011 but that was a bit optimistic lol so this is beforeduring and still during...plan is to MOT this month if time allows so lets see your projects with a deadline, Gathering

My car is 50 this year and the RRG is the genuine goal for not just being on the road, but hopefully being an OOOFF trigger. Near the beginning - Then Then Now A hole where an engine that doesn't eat itself should be....

Funnily enough with tickets going on sale this morning I was thinking about Gathering as a deadline for my long held project. Plan is to put my recently acquired 3.9 V8: into this: and try not to blow my diff up going up Prescott Hill. I have a degree to finish first mind, but that'll be done by the end of may. Which gives me 11 weeks. It could happen! James

My Alpina TWR 335 hasn't been on the road since 1990. Hopefully, it should make this years gathering though. This is how it is currently. Even if you don't see it, you should hear it. All 3.5 litres of straight six loveliness with triple 45's and twin 50mm, mandrel bent exhausts.

I'm planning on getting this there with the bodywork sorted, sunroof in/on, rims on, lowered and if i have time engine conversion. Its currently 120 miles away, but that should be sorted within the next few weeks, then i can have a good look over what i've got myself into and make a list.

2012 is the year of thinking positive. I missed out on RRG 2011 in part because I moved house and that ate all my money. Car needs wheels balancing, hand brake adjusting and some road tax but since this will all be done in time for Waddington by the end of June, I should hope things will all be fine in time for RRG. I'm going to try and get the paint looking better too, but I don't know what, if anything, will be happening on the modification side of things because quite frankly, this car doesn't really *need* modifying. I could bring the Polo instead, but really I think I'd be happier doing the 2.5 hour drive each way in the beige wedge instead.

How it looks in one piece: How it looks about now in many pieces, whilst I sort out a decade's worth of neglect: Trying to rope my friend in for Prescott, who has a VERY special Capri. With any luck we'll be burbling and barking up the hill in September
