Honest question, 12" wheels and disc brakes, or 10" wheels and drums, then discs when I can afford?
998 standard car, not used as a road burner, just to get about in for a while and have a laugh.

10's n drums, discs when you can.
There is an alloy copy of 10" cooper steels available these days that will clear discs ;D, i think one other make of 10 will too, but cant remember which.

Definatly 10's! The only reason I've got 12's on mine is because I want it standard.

u can swap to disc brakes for very little money, as mentioned above the discs need to be machined down, but with it being a 998 u wouldnt need super great brakes, isnt someone breaking a metro on here at the mo??

10" Wellers with machined discs and mk1 fiesta callipers, you have to chop some meat off the callipers but they do the job.

if long term you are going to have disc brakes anyway, do that now and get the calipers and machined discs when you can afford it. running discs on any size engine is a lot easier to maintain and safer as they stay in balance more than drums. 12" steels can also look tres cool as for running fiesta calipers all you need to know is here p211.ezboard.com/fminiclassicgeneralnoticesinfo.showMessage?topicID=6319.topic

And, have you got that 929 koop sorted out yet?!! Mini's MOT ran out last sunday so it's next in line after the koop (which rudely jumped the queue) I'm still trying to find the uber rare parts tree for the mazda.. Minisport calipers arent that expensive, look nice too! I think you need wellers to run the fiesta calipers as alloys will foul them, i've seen a conversion on theminiforum.co.uk, but i don't much fancy grinding meat off brake calipers, stopping is kind of important to me.....
