Quite simple really.... Not a poll to decide which TG bloke you like best.... But one to see which 'school of motoring' you belong to. Are you like Our Lord JC - 'I'm the most important person on the road so get out of my way... and I'll be damned if I'm letting anyone 'push' in front of me' stylee? Or do you adhere to May's 'Christian Motoring' ethic - i.e. do unto others as you would have done unto you... if you let people out of a side road, or switch lanes in front of you... will some form of 'Karma' work in your favour? Will you arrive unflustered and only slightly later than the more aggressive driver? Just for fun!

Definitely part of James' school - Until I hit the B-Roads anyway I do wonder why I bother at times though, most people I encounter seem to have no manners and don't even give a nod/wave/flash when letting them out etc

Defo a James, I'm pretty relaxed on the roads, not generally in a huge hurry. Unless it's a quiet, twisty road with a nice surface, and I'm driving the sud

Difficult to say. Sort of both an neither. I drive pretty fast a lot of the time, but I don't really suffer from road rage or drive aggressively. I happily let people out and always try to drive without antagonising or iconveniencing other road users. Plus I am not particularly bothered by caravans. ;D I will reserve judgement until later

with me it tends to depend on the car/mood I'm in. the mighty benz is often driven extremely sedately, with me being remarkably 'christian' - i think its cos otherwise the economy gauge scares me lol however with most other cars, usually manuals, i do tend to drive 'confidently'. I don't really get road rage, but i have little patience. i think I'm gonna side with the mighty JezzaC, especially as no-one else has yet!

I'm done with stress. It put me in hospital once. I'm a fairly chilled out driver. People can go in front of me, if they want to drive faster than I'm going, why not?

Used to be the gospel according to the bad JC but nowadays i'm more converted to Christian motoring.
To quote the Brynster "It's all cock waving anyway..."
Nope, drop the speed, watch the fuel meter peak over 50-mpg - yep, that's an oil-burner I use for me 30,000 + miles/year, wind the old wireless up to eleven and as long as it's not pissistently raining, wind the sunny back too....
Relax brother.
Man
Cheers,
Jon

I deffinately come from the James May school of motoring - i'm generally pretty chilled out when driving, you kind of have to be when driving the van Although even when i've had pretty fast cars, my only moments of 'enthusiastic' driving have been when theres been no one else around to offend. I like to think that I am a polite driver - keeping my distance, waving, flashing people through etc etc, the only time I get annoyed with other road users is when I see people being aggressive towards someone else, this normally involves them driving in a stupidly dangerous manor - far out weighing the innocent mistake made by the other driver which triggered Mr Angry in the first place It always suprises me how completely level headed/sane people suddenly turn into muppets the moment they sit behind a steering wheel & shut the door of their motoring cacoon

Relax, take it all in your stride.
The guy haring past you with no indicators whilst on his mobile will only get there a couple of minutes before you anyway.

I get told I still drive like a learner. Because I leave gaps that people can get into, and let people in/out/across when it won't do me any harm to do it.
On a clear road with an NSL, warm sunshine and no cowpoop/leaves I like to fling it arround. The Octavia is actually pretty good as that. The Estelle was better. In traffic, I chill turn up the stereo and enjoy. Then turn on the aircon too if needed. then chill further.

When I lived and drove in London my driving style was best described as Gengis Khan on a bad day...
Now I have relaxed significantly I take a more Buddhist approach to driving, karma all round.

I won't be there when you cross the road, so always use the Green Cross Code.

When I was younger I obviously drove like a complete monger all the time. Then I moved to Cape Town for a while. When I came back my driving had mellowed somewhat to the point that my passengers would be grinding their teeth for me to speed up and cries of "you don't have to let them ALL out" were quite common.
Now I'm a hybrid. I can't see the point in geting stressed out about it all, but I have to say London winds me up a bit! If I lived there I'd deffo have an auto box! Nothing chills you out quicker tahn driving an auto!

Possibly also due to the calming effect of driving a Datsun too!
No such thing as karma in Coventry. Its each man to his own, a bit like a banger racing curcuit.

Voted JC, I'm not like him (Me Me Me) etc but i get really annoyed with other fuggers that should be either on a bus/foot or in a home (old or mental), or arragant or unable to check mirrors/indicate etc! U turn kings you know the type. I try stay chilled...but!!! Cos it was raining cats n dogs yesterday i took the MR2 in stead of cycle bike it took 30 odd mins to do 3 miles, that was the clever route too to dodge a couple schools, 10 busses beside me in the bus lane fighting to get through the lights onto the bus stops where at least 5 busses block the road and fight over the students from the halls and wait till they fil up!! Grrr I'm on the pedal bike again today, it only takes approx 19 mins, I'm more chilled and in search of waterproofs now roads are a joke! Rant but i answered the question, its a jungle out there!!!
