Hello Retro riders Long time no see.. Work and life has kept me away from the Car and updates! Things has happened! But not a lot! We are just about done with relocating the cage! This is the mount for the front leg! It's Home made And a little stronger then the one Saftydevice supplied. There is room for more welding on this one! The leg is place fither out so that there is room for the side bar and new seat! There was a lot of work and fitting involved in this! But the result is great! The steering column and steering wheel is under modification as well! A long time ago I bought a MotaLita wheel and a boos! I found a quick release kit at Daemon Tweaks! And fell in love! Rasmus who has access to a lot of nice tools did a bit of his Magic So now I have a Nice tiller with snap off, original adjustment and a working horn button! It's not in the car.. It's on the shelf waiting for the rest of the interior!

So no updates for a while! Heating in the garage is an issue.. But now that spring is here work commences I have done the mounts for the seats. The roll cage mounts are done. And we fabricated a bar for the seat belts. (pictures later) The plan is to get the inside of the car done (cage, seats, instruments, dashboard and maybe some side trim for the doors) Before we move on to work on the engine. We need to fix some power for the vacuum pump and the pug servo. The plan is to start them up when the ignition lamp turns of. So that the don't draw power when the engine needs it for starting. I would love to post some pictures but something is rotten in the state of Denmark! At least when it comes to photo bucket.. I don't know what is wrong but its annoying to say the least Is there any other good way to post pictures here? C

Back from Work ;D Have my Liberty til the 3 of June ;D So time for the car and other nice Things! The tickets for ADAC 24 Hours race at the Ring just cam with the mail to day! Haven't seen that before. I am going with a friend and I'm looking so much forward to it! Spend some time in the workshop today cleaning and then i fabricated this Little Tool! It's to compress the front springs. I'm not satisfied with the current ride height. The way to lower the car is to fit lowering springs (done eibach) To remove the plastic plates that sits between the spring and the lover and upper wishbones (not done) And to fit spacers between the pan that holds the spring in place and the lower wish bone. This is going to take some time. And I may have to remove the spring more then once! Jaguar has a Tool for this! I don't know what one of those would set me back. But I cant imagine that it's cheap! This only cost me the time it took to make it The nut's and bolt's came from a friend.. Next step is to see if it actually Works....

My friend Mads with whom i share the garage, went at bought at new Shell for his Buggy. So the Girl had to leave her comfy home for ½ an hour.. Off cause it had to rain But it was nice seeing her in daylight for the first time in 1½ year.. Gotta get that car done! When you look at the last Pictures you can see why I Made the Spring Tool! I need to Work on the ride height on the front of the car.

i love the steering wheel work, really envy people with lathes and mills i wonder if its my eyes, but roll cage mountings are usually M10 bolts for obvious reasons.

So a short up date. Just to get back in the game! The last couple of months has been more about the workshop then the car! Winter is comming to Denmark! We want to be warm when we Work on the car! The place is rented! So there is not much point in investing a small fortune in it! The Farmer had some Insulation and some agustic sealing plates! So Money saved there! The wall got some TLC too! Insulation comming up! And half way there! It's a lot of work! And we are not professionals at this! But hopfully it's worth it when Father Frost shows up! So we can get back to working on the car! Next update schould be about that!

So I found these.. It's a while ago. They are Chevy pattern and would fit the broodspeed wings. I paid more then i wanted to for them. But they should be easey to shift if i chose not to use them. I think the Broodspeed Coupe's are Nice.. And it would fit my (race car theme)But my car is not a coup, and do i realy want to cut it up? I like the original lines on my car they are nice too! Must think a bit more about this!

looking forward to seeing the picture at the moment i have 17 inch 2 piece bbs corvette wheels that will fit with some spacers but it is amazingly hard to find wheels for the older jags as they have a size only jaguar used
most of the american wheels have a difrent offset so they will not fit ( only with spacer )
the body kit is still available if you ever decide to go the broadspeed way but than you need to change it because the rear doors are in the way a bit that's why they fit on a coupe but not on a 4 door
regards
mitch

I could put them on the Girlfriends car... She would never notice! They Are Ansen Sprint! (American Racing) I think.. They fit my car.. But I would have to do something clever with the Wheel lugs! I know the Broodspeed wings needs fidling with the rear doors! I havent put much thought into that part of it! I find it works better for me to figure Things out when i have the parts! Cheers from Denmark!
