Looks great! I much prefer them on 15's than on 13's.

Cheers! Yeah, agreed. They kind of look like rollerskates with 13s. Needs the full arch to be filled.

Makes me kinda miss my old 360, pity mine was such an epic pile of dog curse word, it was a free car given to me by a mate who was going to scrap it. They just seem to be so eager ang happy to be sideways, I remember twinning with a mate in his S13 and it performed so well considering the deficite in power lol!

Well I'll let you know if I ever come to sell it! I'm sure I'll get bored at some point and want something else.

No way! Adds to the grandad look ;D Plus it's pretty handy if I ever want to A-frame a new project home. As for your mates, 340s break fairly easily if you don't maintain the engine mounts and gearboxes. The 300s are very solid but you have to keep an eye on weaknesses which will lead to inevitable prop snappage and gearbox explodage

Onto some wheeley goodness. Some of the wheels look a bit like this. So today I started a bit of refurb with the worst one: The surfaces are corroding as well as the laquer falling off all over the place: I made a start with a Stanley blade in some long nose pliers and got most of the loose lacquer off. Unfortunately some of it was stuck fast but these bits also seemed to have nice polished metal still underneath. So the plan with these areas might just be to blend them in when I polish all the surfaces up. This is only a light refurb to get them to an acceptable condition to sell. The other less rare set of wheels I'm going to keep on the 360 and paint. I made a start using some 600grit wet n dry being quite vigorous to get all the curse word off. As the easy stuff came off, I'd wipe the surface clean and apply clean water and perhaps change to fresh sandpaper. I then began to concentrate on the small areas of black and corrosion left on the surface until after about 10 minutes I had one spoke nice and clean: I maintained this method just concentrating on the spokes for now. After a while I'd gotten to about here: It looks great on the camera. But close up, quite a lot of the surfaces are still looking like this: This is OK for now as the wheel is going back on the car anyway. I'll go over again in a few weeks when I've finished the other wheels. I'm also going down to 1200grit before polish. Ok yeah, I'm a bit of a traveller at times. A few hours work got me here: As you can see from this pic, I've got a way to go to "polished" but I'm very happy with the results. No more manky wheel!

Sweet little 'granny shaker' you got there, seems to have held up much better than mine in the bodywork department.
What kind of shocks did you use on it? I got mine on Koni red's (volvo 300 original), which are rare as poor quality wobbly children's play pony poo, but not very spectacular in track performance terms.

So as part of the set I bought from Chris, one of the wheels looked like this: Ouch. Yeah, that's pretty bent. I took it to Lepsons in Swindon and was happy to hear they might be able to do something about it. He wasn't too sure about the face though as it was quite fooked! Anyway, got it back today: Perfect! Well... not quite. In his words "It's not perfect, but its a damn sight better than it was". The face is very close to perfect and it and it can be fitted and balanced with a tyre. I'm going to test this but to my eye it looks very straight. He recommended that at the very worst, I'd have to put it on the rear only. Now I've just got to work on the rest of the wheel... More soon!

I got a volvo 340 in the same colour but a 4 door and a b14e engine. Yesterday I welded the diff and now is almost good to go drifting... shame the engine is a bit under powered and the clutch slips abit but is great fun on the roundabouts on the wet... Keep it up... sideways I mean...
