Found these pictures of my Barracuda as found in the US a few years ago. but otherwise not really much to update as i'm still gathering bits together. (p.s. I can't edit the title to include the Barracudas as that was an old account i'm not using anymore)

Haven't done much to the cars recently as iv'e been busy with work. This Cobra had been at Beaulieu for near on 40 years. I recently had the pleasure of completely dismantling it and then putting it back together. then got to pedal it around Goodwood as part of the Shelby Celebration Parade. Still working on the Cobra finishing a few small items But it turns out the engine in the Cobra is a Holman Moody supplied 427 with LeMans Crank and Rods. It has dry Sump oiling which make it quite a rare version (filler on the right hand front wing). The engine went to America for overhaul and has 525 bhp. The Cobra also has a very tall axle gear ratio which we suspect that this was because this Cobra was entered in the 1966 Lemans 24 hour race though it didn't compete. Axle makes a very tall first gear so it's like pulling away in top but the engine doesn't struggle as it is 7 litres in a car weighing not much more than 1000kgs. oh and the GT40 pictured with the Cobra i did 12 years ago (which spent the best part of 30 years at Beaulieu) [both were privately owned by the same owner]
