Found these pictures of my Barracuda as found in the US a few years ago. but otherwise not really much to update as i'm still gathering bits together. (p.s. I can't edit the title to include the Barracudas as that was an old account i'm not using anymore)

Haven't done much to the cars recently as iv'e been busy with work. This Cobra had been at Beaulieu for near on 40 years. I recently had the pleasure of completely dismantling it and then putting it back together. then got to pedal it around Goodwood as part of the Shelby Celebration Parade. Still working on the Cobra finishing a few small items But it turns out the engine in the Cobra is a Holman Moody supplied 427 with LeMans Crank and Rods. It has dry Sump oiling which make it quite a rare version (filler on the right hand front wing). The engine went to America for overhaul and has 525 bhp. The Cobra also has a very tall axle gear ratio which we suspect that this was because this Cobra was entered in the 1966 Lemans 24 hour race though it didn't compete. Axle makes a very tall first gear so it's like pulling away in top but the engine doesn't struggle as it is 7 litres in a car weighing not much more than 1000kgs. oh and the GT40 pictured with the Cobra i did 12 years ago (which spent the best part of 30 years at Beaulieu) [both were privately owned by the same owner]

An old Brands Hatch ticket was found under the seat of this Cobra. it isn't dated sadly but there was no context of CSX3019 ever being at Brands Hatch. 3019 raced in Europe in 1966 with lots of images and context ( Image link from Google) You can tell 3019 because it has the oil filler on top of the front right hand wing while doing more research on this Cobra i found an image from Brands Hatch in late 1966 of an unknown 427 Cobra. there can't be too many 427 Cobras in the UK at this time. Can't see an oil filler on the wing, which would probably be hidden by the hood scoop, but the roundels are in exactly the same place as the early images of 3019 and what struck me is the tape on the wing which to my mind is covering the owner Ed Freutel's team name 'Ecurie Cinquante Cinq'. also the lift jacks are missing as in the 1966 Nürburgring images. I'm sure this image is 3019 with Bob Burnard at the wheel. Bob Burnard only drove a 427 once according to his race history (was quite involved with racing AC Aces earlier) it was shortly after when John Wolfe purchased CSX3019 The Chequered Flag Cobra 427 is CSX3006 which was white with a Black bonnet. by the way i have worked on and done a few miles in 3006 when it was in the UK in 2012 in its Right Hand Drive format (now in USA, Blue and LHD)

This forum does do weird things now?
when logging it it gives me choices so the above post was from a new account that the forum decided to give me?
anyway. S800 is safely under cover at present
Barracudas are still ongoing but i can't see me doing Two now so i will be breaking one and get rid of the shell. no parts will be for sale as spares for these cars are very difficult to get hold of and usually expensive.

Your old user id is "boz" - you may well have changed it to display bozwell however you have now created a new user id bozwell probably because you forgot your original user id was boz HoTWire may well be able to fix it / merge the two ID's but then again maybe not
