Honestly, I have always considered these to be horrible rattly pieces of junk. Having said that, I have mellowed in my old age and I think this one looks great. I cannot remember the last time I saw one of these, and I now think that it is quite sad that 99.5% of these have rattled themselves to death. Good luck with it. |

The orange box is winging its way to the bodyshop today to have a rest on some ramps and get waxoyled to within an inch of its life. Its doing well so far, we have had weeks worth of rain in the past couple of days and it hasnt turned into a swimming pool or dissolved on the spot. Really needs to get garaged soon though as i don't think waxoyling the body would work somehow.

Hehe, nice idea! Just look at the size of the arches on the Horizon though.... I bet the 9Js would fit without even adding bolt on arches! Shame mine are totally the wrong fitment.... |

Update: Currently sitting with a poorly battery! Alternator belt seems to be way too big and loose..... need to get a proper sized one, and a mutltimeter on it to see if its actually charging ok as well. Fiat 131 Mirafiori steels! !?! Always loved a 131, so with them being up for sale at a not bad price and the same PCD I thought why not?! Proper 70s style with a decent offset, a bit of dish and looking highly tempting for some banding too.... Think I might go all silver rather than the usual style with black sections, but undecided on that one still.   |

how wide are they? they look really wide lol They're really not though! A good offset of ET26 gives them some dish, but they're actually only 14x5.5J! I'll be test fitting them and then most likely seeing about spacing or banding...... Yes, most likely banding ;D |

Very quick trial fit of the Mirafiori steels today.... Kinda hard to tell how they'll sit with tyres and after much lowering though. And even harder to work out how much banding will be needed! But the centre bore was identical, and I'm liking the style lots, so all good. ;D    |

Liking this a lot. I would say I hated them but the shape has mellowed on me. Perhaps because there are curse word all left. Not even seen that many out here. There is a red one in the local scrap yard, pretty much sound. I also have a Chrysler Horizon steering wheel sitting in my garage if anyone is interested. Do a search on Spanish scrap yards.

I think very little banding will be needed on the fronts. An inch at most. Rears you may get away with more. All depends on the tire choice.. Bulbous or stretch?

This is one of only 2 taxed Chrysler Horizons left in the UK! And a mere 30 Talbot Horizons are still taxed with the DVLA...  I think very little banding will be needed on the fronts. An inch at most. Rears you may get away with more. All depends on the tire choice.. Bulbous or stretch? Going to get some stretch. Probably a 175-50-14 on something between 7 and 8J should be nice ;D Really don't want to gain any grip either with wider tyres dulling everything down as it's slow enough already! |
