Good: footman James.
Bad: swift cover, their only saving grace was only charging me £6.66 to cancel my policy. Bad: direct line (aweful in fact! Show no loyalty to long term customers)
Meh!: Adrian flux

Good: Footman James (gave me a great price when I owned the hearse). Bennetts (for the bike).
Bad: Hastings (complete numpties when my ped got pinched), Adrian Flux (used to insure my aircooled stuff with them but they hiked their prices up & added alot of small charges that weren't there previously). Endsleigh, generally poor service & price.

Speaking on behalf of both me and my lady...
Good (So Far): Chris Knott.
Bad: Adrian Flux (ridiculous renewal, rude phone manner, hung up twice, only came down on price when we accepted alternative quote from Admiral).

Direct line, good for dailys, but getting sloppy!
HIC always looked after me n my Fiesta every year!
My winner is PETER BEST (not to be confused with Peter James who I've never used) they love Volvo's and Saab's and are brilliant with most other things but do like them standard(ish)

Bad: The Green Car Insurance Company, Sabre
Good: Sky Insurance
Green Car decided to send me a letter informing me that Sabre could no longer continue with my policy because I never informed them of when I became unemployed. Funny thing, since i've been employed by the same company for all the time i've held a policy with them. Extremely unhelpful on the phone and would not re-instate my policy for love nor money.
Sky gave me a really good price on a policy with unlimited styling modifications, price only increases with performance mods, miles more reasonable then Brentacre or HIC, and so far i've had no issues.

bad: Adrian Flux - Keep trying with them, but get disappointed every time

Excellent: RH Classic
OK: Lancaster. Though since seen more than one incident of losing people's NCB records completely.
Bad: Admiral. Increasing premiums for no reason with the missus.
Annoying: Flux. Tried for quotes several times, always a pain in the chuff.

Good = Brentacre: Called them yesterday and they didn't bat an eyelid when I told them I was fitting an XE. Have spent extra minutes on the phone talking to them about project car plans too.

Good: Peter James Classic Good: Liverpool Victoria although the excesses and add on are creeping up. Bad: Peter James Modern, new quote while being a classic customer was 3 times what the LV renewal quote was.

bad: Direct line, was on mums policy for a year and when i wanted to swap to my own name they refused to count their "named driver no claims" that they offer due to the fact that because the policy changed once i passed my test they only counted the policy as 9 months, not 12!
bad: Adrian Flux, agreed a price, then sent me a letter sayin that the price had gone up by £900!! and wanted to charge me to cancel the policy!
good: Classic Line, really helpful and very reasonable!

The Good: Sky insurance (good price, great staff, no claims via them yet) The Ugly: Adrian Flux (after years of no claims and my money, their customer service is now shocking and expensive too)
