looks great but thats going to be a tricky one with the agency.....
unaltered body – no points
zetec with 5sp gearbox – no points
rear independant sus with cossie slipper all coil over sus with discs all round fully ajustable suspension everywhere – possible one axle when you need both to count
quick rack – no points
you have to wonder if divorce means realised it's not going to be road legal

This Anglia's a lot happier after the facelift: I quite like it too.

But isn't it already on the road? Says for the last six months?

i do not approve - the use of BINI bits make it horrible - should of just made a more retro custom look to it

i have to agree with mephiston, I'm not a lover of this. the bini bits look wrong. and why destroy an anglia, surely he has now aimed this at such a small market that it will not sell in any hurry? whereas a tastefully modified original anglia would have no problems..?

Not a huge fan of that but it looks very well done, i love the cheerful "face" tho! That Scorpio grill goes great with the bini lights

As far as the look goes, I would say the only thing I dislike about it are are paint and wheels; if it were say, a darker colour with larger diameter wheels in graphite, I'd prefer it more. But having said that, I find the concept behind it sound and I like the body mods.

I don't really like it, but I'm glad I've seen it.
It's good to know people are still building things like this; it's easy to assume from magazines and shows and t'internet and stuff that the old Ford scene is all about race and rally cars, RS replicas, South London look, straight-up restoration, etc. I tend to occupy a bit of a modified-car bubble so this is kind of interesting.
I wouldn't though...

1989 Peugeot 205. You know, the one that was parked in a ditch on the campsite at RRG'17... the glass is always full. but the ratio of air to water may vary.

I wouldn't though... Sums it up for me too. I love the concept of it, but dislike the way it looks (which is, of course, very much a subjective thing. I like old tat ), I love that he had the balls to build it and could visualise such an unlikely mix of parts and see it through, but I dislike the blatant flouting of the '8 point rule'... It's what I imagine both loving and hating marmite to be like

You can't have a roofchopped Anglia thread without The Al Barnett Anglia: Nice. That, and this beauty that further evolved into a Kustom with a tube grill and two-tone paint in the early 80's: And heavens to Betsy what folk on here will make of this:

Anyone interested in modifying cars should know this without you bringing it to everyone's attention on the forum for someone else to pick up on and notify the authorities. What you trying to do - frighten people away from posting on here? Why not just stay stummm and enjoy the pics instead of trying to be a clever dick?

If I bought it, then had the logbook taken off of me when it got to MOT time, I'd be pretty annoyed. A head in the sand attitude is the last thing we need and is the reason groups like The ACE are so important (and valued on this forum)

Anyone interested in modifying cars should know this without you bringing it to everyone's attention on the forum for someone else to pick up on and notify the authorities Anyone interested in modifying cars should understand that these cars can and will eventually be picked up by the system, and those turning a blind eye to it and just building what they want - regardless of the rules - are just going to make the Government tighten the restrictions further and further until we end up like Germany or France. The sooner folks realise there is a proper way to do things and still build cool cars, the sooner we can all stop looking over our shoulders and worrying about what the next clause is going to affect our hobby.
