ITs the LAW ;D But Quite fancy Orange Flake too Torn between making it look OEM and going more Dressed up There was no way at all to get the "Supercharged" to sit the right way up unfortunately Now I need to decide whether to grind it off or leave it upside down Decisions decisions ;D

Orangle flake with gloss black detailing. How long until she's ready, dude? Did you mention 220bhp-ish? *n

Orangle flake with gloss black detailing. How long until she's ready, dude? Did you mention 220bhp-ish? *n Could work Shouldnt be too long now, going to Map it on the Engine Dyno first, so when it is ready to fit its a "Black box install" and a known quantity.... Calcs are showing 220 - 250hp ;D ;D ;D 220hp is available Normally aspirated on Standard valve sizes with a Decent inlet and exhaust system and some Cams, so a lightly blown, Efficiently chargecooled engine should be somewhere close Put it in perpective, a freind did the development of the John Cooper Works kit for the Mini cooper S, and that engine with its far inferior head design made 215hp from 1600cc so we are going to be somewhere near ;D Be happy with anything around 200 TBH.... in 800kilos of car 100hp is not going to be slow, 200 is potentially scary ;D

Cam covers in Red Crackle Finish..... ITs the LAW ;D I can see your point, now I still like black, personally you might think about getting it running before worrying about colour schemes, tho. good to see it coming together

I saw a mostly black engine with the rocker cover in a 'terracotta' sort of colour with the raised bits polished. It looked really cool, far better than it sounds!
Or paint it in that 'pea green' colour that a lot of industrial machinery is finished in, that would rule! ;D

Looking very nice indeed, i wish my injectors could go direct to head like yours My inlet is being a real PITA. Are those inlet runners going to make the most of the flow out of that cooler? Seems a little close with no trumpets etc? Keep it up man! J

Seems a little close with no trumpets etc? Keep it up man! J Can you not find a similar port spaced Inlet to an Imp, with injector bosses already in ? The other option is to do a Plenum on top of straight runners and put the injectors in the top of the plenum firing down each port A bit like the 2nd set of injectors on an RS500 I will lose a little bit with that Manifold but its a package issue as much as anything (as always : The pics don't show it too well but the cold side of the charge cooler does taper out to the runners so not just a Box with 4 tubes on it IYSWIM The inlet tract length will be great for response as well which is what I wanted Trumpets would have been nice but you have to make the whole plenum a lot larger to accomodate them, which in turn hurts the response Still need to add the Bypass outlet on there as well Cheers for the comments and if you need a hand with anything for the imp, give me a shout ;D Cheers Dom

I doubt wether the flow of the plenum/runners will be much of an issue as it rarely is on any blown motor unless you are seeking to get absolutely the most HP from it. Only when you are reaching for ultimate power do things like that become a really important factor. If it were n/a it would be a different story though. With a turbo, poor flow would most likely result in a laggy motor with the turbo spooling up later but with it supercharged I don't think it'll be a major factor.
