Hi! Since years I only read at RR so here is my first own projekt to share ....because I can NOW load up Photo's ;D After the Busraser-Crew visit the Classic Ford Show 2007... Ferry... Santa Pod... Classic Ford's Bryn & Jon make a feature for the mag... ..after we have a german BBQ.. MMMMHHHHH! Cheers! Later I have a go on the strip... I ran a 19,3 ....with the bed and all the stuff in the car and there it was the yellow MK1 Escort against me! So I decide to have such a yellow Escort too... After some searching I found one 250km away from my home. 1972 2 door....1100L with only 60000km on the clock! first the front brake seized.....so I have to fix it on the driveway after 100km the next problem.... the last 25km we have to tow it...... >:(not a good start! more tomorow.... Cheers

Ok thanks for clearing that up They look very simular to UK "trade plates" The Escort looks solid so wont need much restoration work, are you keeping it standard or are you going to modify it?

Hi! There are only a few left on the streets of Germany...... The Escort was not a big seller in germany,it seems nobody like it. They sell from 1968 to the end 1974 only 230000 cars. The Ford scene in Germany is VERY small and more in Taunus and Granada's.....believe me if you go to a big Ford meet there are 100 Taunus modells and maybe 3 Escorts More Photo's in the evening..... cheers

Tach! grizz:I hope i have made enough photos......after the ESC maybe my other cars get here.... ;D After get the car to his new home i beginn to strip it..... in the boot... ...typical on EVERY Escort.... So let's go! Cut out... ...Done! The right Wing was scrap...and there was a hole in the a-post... Wheelarch left.....this is the old repair found under filler the other side.... Dave "Oldbus" have a look at my work He repairs me the left door...thanks again, great work! look at the "TÜV-Repair" on the strut top's..... so i cut out top's and make it a little bit nicer ;D and a new battery tray.... and the heater bubble..... Time for the new wheels ;D In the meantime i make a decision:I want a bigger Engine! I thougt about a 1600 Xflow with twin weber's ;D So i bougt a car to deliver the Engine and the suspension etc Mk2 Escort ... bougt for 3500,- Euro Plan was to get the 1600 in my car and my 1100 in the MK2 and than sell it again. But i get a phonecall and someone from Stuttgart make me an offer for the MK2 of 4300,-.....so i sold it. I 'm still looking for more power.....and than this come at the Internet... with that what i wanted! For the new drivetrain i have to relocate the hole for the gearshift... and some GRP4 Turrets for the rear shocks... inside the wheelarch.... So,time for the paintjob! More to follow, thanks for looking! Cheers Totti

Cool update, that's what I mean.
This week they start to break out all the old concrete in front of the garage, new paving and space to work.
2 weeks, hopefully a new 10x8 foot workshop..... woohooo !!
In the mean time, I need to store all my extra Taunus Transit spares and extra front, rear axle and gearbox inside the garage.

Hi! No,this is not my car......I've got a LHD-Car.. Back from the Paintshop.... The underside was very clean so i only have to paint it new... Keep it simple, keep it black Painted and cleaned ready to go.. Black under the grill.... The front suspension painted dark grey back in place.... time to get the drivtrain on it's place.... ....don't scratch the new paint.... ;D The big question for me was....is the stance right? It has to sit low but driveable. And no bubblearches or splitters .Only basic ,simple clean. So after some time of fitting (sorry, i forgot to make photo's) its done.... Stance is Perfect for me! ;D Inside.. More to come.... Thanks for looking cheers totti
