Ciao retroisti I need some feedback please.....
Just fitted The Shop Hack with proper lowering springs although I had to buy 2 sets to get springs that work, in the front a set of Cobra Skoda Felicia 40mm and in the rear a set of Cobra Golf 4 30mm, since the Golf rear springs lower an extra 20mm fitted to the Skoda it now sits real nice and best of all it will haul a 200+ kg bike in the bed with no problems and pulling a trailer is a dream, now I just need a set of shorter rear shocks and it's perfect, Opel Corsa shocks are shorter and a straight bolt on so I'll be ordering a set ASAP. Sorry not had the time to shoot pix of it yet but as soon as I can I will post them......
Now to my conundrum, sure it looks good on the steelies, Smart Bridgestones (175-55-15) with Moon Discs but I feel like I need a change to something else, the Smart Bridgestones are incredible tires, low rolling resitanse, better milage and exactly the right size, fill the fenders perfect after lowering so these MUST stay but I want some new different rims, I have tested BRM's and the Air Cooler look is wrong IMO, I don't want to go the obvious Audi, VW, Porsche types since it's been done but I would like to go a recognisable 80's 90's OEM wheel from some car, wellknown or obscure and they should be somewhere around 6" - 8" wide, had a look at early 80's Corvette but they are 16" and I want 15". PCD is not a problem since adapters for what ever can be done but I need some input here......
Late 70's Saab Turbo looks cool and are easily available over here.....
Volvo Turbo "Pentas" also a cool and recognisable look....
For all the PS-Gurus out there......
DP asks: What do you guys sugest??
