I was managed to get 10 Hot Wheels from a Tesco Extra (in a different part of England) was amazed to see so many different ones to the normal fare I see in my local Morrisons/Sainsburys/Tesco. Two whole boxes stuffed full of Hot Wheels and loads of selection of Hot Wheels stuff. My usual three have been poor recently with the same stuff in all three (aside from the Super Treasure Hunt obviously!!) and even Poundland has n real HotWheels now  Picked up the out of this world Tesla lol A Dakar style Unimog and a Defender 110 crew cab Tomb raider style, a flamed El Camino, R32 & R33 Skylines, Mustang Mach 1 with cool wheels (Bond one) and a 57 Chevy Bel Air custom with the same wheels (never seen them before) as well as a couple of other interesting ones. |

I live over the road from a shop that sells die cast models and in the window are a few used ones, i have to cover my eyes some days to walk past it.

I´m quite a fan of the 80s nissan bluebird traveller (= estate), but there doesn´t seem to be a model of it? But I saw these 71s and had to have them, all still on card. And I found these two: one is a mistery model, which comes in a small bag, but you can feel what might be inside. The second one was in a 5-pack with a huge dual pickup chevy and three crappy fantasy cars.    I think I got infected by that model car virus and I blame you people round here for this!  |

Found a nice error a couple of weeks ago .Missing the chrome section , so no interior ,engine or grille .   |

I had the drill out today for some kitchen mods, so before i put it away I found some slightly worn out cars  shortly later I had this  I quite like it as it is. I was going to primer it remove bumpers and turn it into a track car. |

Day 9.  A small sheet of stickers, about the size of a postage stamp! I do feel a bit cheated by these stickers, but then I'm supposed to be an adult, and not who the calendar is aimed at. I asked my 9 year old what she thought and she said that the stickers are a bit rubbish, and she'd rather have the cheap chocolate from her advent calendar. Day 10.  A Reindeer! I kinda like this...  and it goes with the sleigh. I think I would've preferred 8 different Reindeer to the stickers to be honest. But I do think that it has nothing to do with HotWheels cars, and would be a disappointment to an 8 year old boy. |

I’ve started buying old ones on eBay for my son, I’m looking for all the ones I liked and had as a kid,
But will try and tidy them up a bit for something to do in the winter.
What’s the best paint etc to use to restore matchbox cars? Don’t want anything that could harm Him, but something that will last as he will be playing with them.

Must be me....... My son is 6 months old, but I want him to be into cars like I was with my dad. Going to find him all the classic matchbox cars I had, xr3i, Astra gte and the rest. I can relive my childhood too at the same time. |

I paint some of my little girls cars when they buy old ones at boot sales and autojumbles. I use regular car paint, humbrol enamel, and on occasions nail varnish.

You really do think they could have done better than stickers and reindeer. Mabie they should do 2 advent calenders next year, one for kids and one for collectors.
