I've got a shedload of pictures I took today, and maybe you'll see these and think "hey I want to go to that" - well its on Sunday as well guys...
Apologies for the quality of a lot of them, many are phone cam shots and most were just snapped in a hurry as you will notice many of them are taken in the staging/fire up lines.
I'll do some more threads about specific cars and themes and the like later. But this is the general vibe of the MoparNats (UK!)
slightly rough round the edges Superbird is about action not investment
I may not have had the fastest car on the day but mine was the only one with a baby seat in it LOL
And a fair collection of dead bugs from the drive down...
This is Steve under his Barracuda. Taking "last minute" repairs to the extreme.
Coronets float my boat, expecially the in-betweeny years like these.
hubba hubba B body
Fairly mild looking blue Charger
Fairly wild looking blue Charger
I've got my eye on you
Some think these Coronets look bugeyed.
Nah, spot on. This one is clean as a whistle
Good use of a more-door
A little bit Hirst in that colour....
matt black has similar reg to "my" orange Camaro...
Another Coronet.
indeed?
Looks wellard
patina or project though?
Yellow Chally was one of several. Popular colour for them this season.
I think this guy was polishing all day
I like the "greenhouse" Barracuda.
This had much to commend it.
"Big" Chargers do it for me too
This one looked just right
Find happiness your own way
Big Dodge convertible would make me smile
This was insane clean
Can you tell why they call it a cross-ram?
Go topless.
Mid Sixties Dodge
And Plymouth
Smart Dart
ready to rumble
More nice restored stuff
More crossrams than you can shake a stick at. Well, I saw a couple anyway
Bright orange with black wheels is a good look
This one is always in primer
My mate Mick's Dart.
Ran low 10s.
Peekaboo
You gotta know I got about 1000 photos of this one.
Fairground cruiser
Continental shop hack. People come from all over Europe and beyond for this.
Some of the fine autojumble.
Lime treat
Much love
You've come a long way baby
This one was for sale. Not sure how much. Lots I guess
Antipodean Charger
It was hot. And I like a 99.
With all the shiny, shiny restored and racy, racy stuff its nice to occasionally see a diamond in the rough.
I wonder if its a real 440-6
Compare and contrast to the green machine above...
There were more rods there than I expected. This is a '38 (I think) Dodge. I remember this car from its first incarnation in the early 80s in Custom Car. I loved it. I am sure its the same car. It was on slots then.
Bonus points for those who spotted this is the Plymought Gran Fury rather than the Dodge Monaco.
That 4 dr again. Love it. Its mixing right and wrong in a delightful proportion.
big queues. Typically 45 minutes a time.
Viper has a hemi in it
Well travelled 4dr
Dirty Harry vibe, yeah?
I'm fond of Sebrings
This one has the 400 B block in it. Nice.
Continental visitors
Much awe.
Period style race livery is all faux/homage I think. Nicely done.
Nice old Dodge. See this every time I go to the Mopars
some stuff parked in the camping next to the pits
like the car from Angel
Was that a rag top though?
High impact colours work well, even slightly out of period.
Big wagon is the ideal way to cross Europe
Or to just bring the kids along
See when someone says "multi passenger vehicle" thats what I am thinking...
Mick's Dart again
Mexican Dart
Apparently...
And finally...
