just looked at some pictures of the golf in its various stages and i realised that it looks loads better than it used to. heres a few pics: the way it was when i got it (BOAT!): badgeless grille: bbs wheels: lowered and boot polish on the bumpers: anyone else have pictures of their cars in various stages? edit: oh yeah, somewhere along the way i got matching door handles. i forget when ;D i know they're not huge changes or anything groundbreaking but id never noticed how much it had changed. its always looked about the same to me. subtlety FTW!

Not the best pic, but here's the Cressy in 'just bought' mode. It's also a rare shot of my garage not full of junk. One Lotus rim - unpolished. £10 for 4! ;D First test fitting for the newly polished wheels, I've got 175/55s on for a bit of stretch, I thought they looked too small and went for 195/60 instead...although I'm not so sure now. That's the 195/60s...clearly it needs a bit of stick action at this point. Ooh, I'm not sure...does that look better? Remember boys, real drops are measured in inches not mm. Cost of base car: £500 Wheels: £10 Polishing: £170 Tyres: £80 Lowering: £0 Total: £760

Heres the minor when i first got it. Then i wound the torsion bars down a spline or three. Junked all the bumpers and trim and suchlike. And thats about it really, it hasnt moved now for at least a year and it wont untill the escort is finished. I havent got any shots of the cortina when i first got it but heres one of it lowered wearing RS four spokes. Halfway through its improvments. Its Finished.... No really, it is ;D
