After getting depressed at the prices 911 fuchs wheels are making on ebay I've decieded to go for cookie cutters instead. I've seen a set polished and the look the dogs. The only thing i was wondering is did they make them in 6j and 7j or are they all 7's. The problem is with the merc that the rear axle is narrower than the front so i need the extra width at the back to fill the arches up. Plus i don't think a 7j wheel will fit on the front once you allow the extra inch for the adaptor. Anyone got any experience of fitting porsche wheels to a merc?

Wedge is the same pcd as the merc. Its just the arch clearance thats bothering me.
I did think about teledials but i don't think they'd suit it, plus they don't got enough dish for my liking.

I run adaptors, 5x112(VW/Merc/Audi) to 5x130 (Porka) Mine are 7j, no idea what offset, but "right" Solution, have wider adaptors made for the rear Yes they made 6j and 7j, but as for offset I couldn't tell you I'm afraid.

on a side note, call Paul Medhurst of Type Three Detectives, he likes his mercs and has put a few sets of porsche wheels on them in the past.... and probably also sells the bits you'll need www.typethreedetectives.com/

I think those dished Teledials were only available on the S1 944 Turbo, as Penski says, only for a short period until they used a 928 style wheel (but again with a funny concave dish to them). It might be worth searching the bay for 944 turbo wheels and some of these might pop up. Amazing what a bit of dish can do for those wheels, I'm not a fan of the non-dished variety really, unless they are nicely detailed.

Most are about ET53, yeah. a 25mm adapter makes them 'normal'.

Be careful with cookie cutters, they came in ET53 and a much lower offset, think it was about 23.

I was following a 944 the other day with cookie cutters. The ones on the back were really dished. they were wider than 8"
