It would be great if cars could fail the MOT for being excessively chav and then be carted of to the crusher. On second thoughts crushing would be too good for that car.

it doesn't matter if it's a Morris Marina or a Toyota Celica - it's what you do with it that counts

I agree...IMHO the car looks hideous and the comments on the ad are as rediculous as the car. BUT...I also thought that the Retro-Rides "theme" [for want of a better word] is that EVERY car has potential. Although the car and it's seller/potential buyers seem daft our own cars seem daft to a lot of others too. Retro-Rides has made me far more open minded than I ever used to be. Sorry if that sounds like an angry rant, cos it isn't. I'm just trying to look at things from both sides. The Fiesta guys on that ad may sound daft, [they do to me] but they are every bit as enthusiastic as we are and as long as they aren't hurting anyone then I guess they are entitled to do what they like within reason.

I think sometimes (specially with us) its about why you do it and attitude thats important. Hard to explain but this seems like some posey saturday night in town posey chav mobile, and I cant get my head round that ad, and if i did, not sure i'd trust it either.

The rear seat question has some sense behind it - although in practice is different.
With the seat in the upright position there is more weight on one particular point of the car, although in the folded down position the seats load is spread out over a much higher area, thus changing the center of gravity etc.
Plus where on earth he copy and pasted that reply from i do not know, it even says that 155BHP is pushing the engine to the limit lol

^ d'you drive a corsa? that car is terrible. it is a perfect example of what a chav, money and a single trip to halfords can create. I can understand where you are coming from dave, but the potential in that shape / make / model of car is in the original design and does not include tacked on spoilers and badly fitted speakers. its only use now is to give scrapmen some work to do. saying that, i'd like the fuel pump because i want my skoda to acelorate and be as fast as an imprezza
