There maybe some little details to sort out but overall that is awesome.
It will be a sad day when they paint it.

Not completely sold on the modern rims but at least they haven't just followed the vw modifying rule book.

My feeling is that if someone's asking a question like the op then they already probably know that generally the answer will be no... but if the op was posting a picture of the black one a few posts up and asking is this worthy? Then the answer is clearly yes.

It's amazing but I can't help but think that with those skills he could've made something big enough to actually drive.

Bought my L400 for a trip to Le mans with mates and a family holiday just over a year ago, planned to keep it for a few months then get something else but ended up selling the sensible family car and keeping it. It's been 100% reliable breezed through both mots, parts have been cheap, it coped great with the snow and the little off roading I've done but fuel consumption is awful. All the usual problems have been covered in other posts already, header tank, fuel pump seal, chain stretch and rust. Mine is the bottom spec Exceed with a low roof and is a little battle-worn so was very cheap to buy too.
If you're using one as a van then all the seats are very easy to remove, just a few bolts, and you'd have a massive load space.

As above, gotta work if fitted... also depending on the tester you might struggle with that rear plate too as from this angle it doesn't look like it uses the approved font so won't be BS marked.

Awesome! Want one but I WOULD kill myself on it! I couldn't skate to save my life :/ Aye me too, had three goes on skateboard when I was younger the first saw a lot of blood and plasters, the second was a sprain and a 2 week break from football and bicycles the third was a torn tendon and a 3 month break from life (or so it felt when I was 13) however having seen this and having just watched I'm wondering whether I could risk another injury as it looks awesome fun

I put it on there the same time I put it on here Admittedly I've had more interest over there but I still have the car...

So today I moved the car out from where it was parked and gave it a blast with the jet wash, I also had a look underneath the car... the bad news is that it does require a replacement fuel tank this one has corroded around where the flexible hose from the filler pipe joins the tank. The good news... the sun was out 8) There are not many other ways to give four people this much sun while transporting them somewhere for less than £500! (obviously excluding any Topgear Espace type vehicles)
