This is a quick mock up of the gauges. They come with circular sticky pads which I like as I don't want to drill the dash. I'll have to run the wiring through conduit into the top of the glovebox lid. I'll rewire the 4 gauges after I've had the stereo & heater sorted.

Small changes to the car seem to make a big difference! Now the front suspension has settled the car sits perfect & the wheels look like they fit the arches. I need a 5mm slip on spacer to bring the tyre out to the arch. Also took the grill off & painted it satin black to see how it looked. Bought some 60mm swivel pods to sit on the dash to relocate the gauges too.

Thanks chap, everytime I check something on the car it seems modified in some way. Only thing missing is a front splitter so I'm currently chopping up an s13 one to see how it will work. Here's a pic of the car with its original that got smashed years before. Also decided I want to reinstate the gauges but slightly more use able. Something like this.

Had the afternoon to tinker with the car so I jacked her up & had a look at the coilovers again. Cleaned all the threads & undid the lower collar & wound it out of the way. Undid the spring preload collar until the spring was loose in the seat, wound it back up 5mm & locked off the lower collar. Even though it doesn't look much the front is actually lowered by 20mm. While I had the car up in the air I decided to change the auxillary belt as it was squealing awfully. The tensioner was on full adjustment so there was no more room to help. It also helps if the adjuster is actually doing its job. I found the bolt head wasn't even up against the pulley. Changed the belt. Also found the fmic is a blitz item, which is nice. Finally I have the car booked into an auto electrician local to me thanks to a few recommendations from this forum.

Why can't I see "car tech" section? I think his company is called 'south west in-car tech', not 'look for the subforum called car tech' I am Bristol based and was curious as to what the request was but alas I cannot recommend anyone who I think would be any good with this. Love the car though. Been keeping an eye on the readers rides thread. Lol don't I feel stupid! I thought it was because I was on my mobile it wouldn't show me all the sub sections. Thanks for your help & ye I love the car too.

Sorry if this isn't the right place please move to the correct section if needed. Basically I have an old nissan gloria with an old analog tv screen. The TV is used to display sat nav & traffic, tv, cd, tape & radio functions. On the separate display there is also function buttons for the aircon & heater. None of the surround works to adjust or select each function. Also the aerial doesn't work but I'm unsure if this is because I can't select radio on the front facia to active the aerial. Here's a few pics to explain. I have used Google translate so I know what each button does. The cd player & tape deck work but I cannot change track or volume etc due to surround not working. What I'm after is a clever auto electrician in the Bristol area that can help. I can pull all the dash & trim out if that's needed. Any help would be great.

That would just loosen the spring & adjust preload. Normally there is a 3rd collar at the base that would wind up or down & move the whole thing. Here's the ones off my s13.

You guys are a funny bunch! The TV screen is analog but it has sat nav, dvd, stereo & heater controls all running off the surround that are visual on the screen.

I'd love this car as you know but I have other cars so could only swap. I think it's stunning. Decent set of bbs alloys & air ride. Done!
