go and offer him some pennies. what do you have to lose?
do you know how long he has been sitting it rot?
my neighbour has a couple of mk3 xr3is rusting away down the side of his house, ive know them there for 3 years and am certain that they were there for quite a while before that. obviously he wants to keep hld of them until they are worth 10 million squids each but they will be dust by then so i don't get his point lol.
while they become more rare, harder to find and the value goes up, they must still be a breaking point where its value is eventually only as scrap.
there is a levin on ebay for £35,000 but i wouldnt let that get in the way of making an offer of saving something that might otherwise just go to waste.
i wouldnt be looking at anything near 4 figures for something that needs welding unless it has a bar of gold in the glove box.

a rough booter to someone who knows what it is can have value.
a rough booter that is hard to find parts for from someone who just knows it as a toyota can be considered scrap.

i see now, everything is clear lol
well i cant see that 626 coupe going even for the starting price unless someone jumps in at the last second like they did on the only areodeck pop up lights honda on ebay the other night.
i would offer a couple of hundred to be honest as its worth nothing to someone who isnt going to do anything with it...
I'm guessing also thats its going to need trailering away etc...?
whats the price of scrap at the moment? think its close to nothing, offer to have it removed free of charge for him/her?

here is something Japanese and coupe on ebay that i would deem rare and vee cool and i would love to take it on except that it would only be a matter of time before a spot of weld dropped into my ear and killed my little brain. www.ebay.co.uk/itm/262703011649?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AITalso missed an aerodeck civic very recently that went for £100 while the seller was emailing me that needed a spot of welding near the floor etc.. looking at your car though id say youd be paying full price for those wheels at least...

i know lots of cars have the same pcd but was looking for a specific offset, less than what my car currently has but I'm guessing that low offset costs money or is kept top secret by wheel hoarders lol

hello
just wondering if anyone can point me to a good list of standard car manufacturers wheel specs?
looking for a cheap set of wheels with very low offset, would be good to know of any wheels that can come off of something else and onto mine(mein honda).
cheers muchly

ive just bought a £460 stinky aerodeck(not the desireable one).
basically an accord, the front end looks excessively sharp and i want to make it less pointy for minimum money.
wondering if anyone nearby or if willing to post has any interesting front endy bits for chips that are clogging up the shed?
quite happy to modify anything and am not counting on someone having an accord spoiler at home.
cheers

have you taken off any of the pulleys recently?
i did a cam belt on a bmw m20 engine recently and noticed that a couple of pulleys are equally capable of going back on the wrong way and putting the belts out of alignment.
maybe someone else has done this on yours?
just a thought innit

one of my e34s is on a classic car policy and is restricted to 9000 miles anyway.
i cant see anything in the proposal that suggests anything more than a VHI and the possibility of a mileage restriction which the insurance companies do already.
so it seems that they are offering you the choice to havea VHI instead of an MOT and this mileage thing that the insurance companies impose on you.
seems to me that they are not offering anything, just doing some bueaucratic skewing to make some think they are getting something for nothing...
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
what is restricted use going to amount to?
restrict mileage classic policies at the moment run to just under 10,000 and I'm sure that they'd be happy to sell you some more miles if you needed them.
i think that that is the way things are going and this is a sneaky way in which the gubberment will initiate this pay as you go revenue stream.
all based on cow farts and the impending end of days etc...but i foresee more toll roads, state or privatel;y owned.
id be happy to run a car that doesnt require MOT or TAX.
there isnt any guarantee that a 2016 whatever doesnt have dodgy brakes the day after an MOT so what difference should that certificate really make considering that it is not necessarily valid minutes after its been issued.
I'm sure the traffic police will be employing more officers also to regulate use of the highways to their own financial advantage.
let people think they have a bit of anarchy for a while but they'll soon get wise to it when the authorities start charging you even more for the 'privileg' of using a car on their roads (that you pay for!) lol

i wasnt suggesting that the rad was blocked, just mentioned that bmws seem to need big radiators.
do you have a pic of how it is plumbed in? or a scribbly diagram?

13inch steel wheels with dusting of rust, tires have lots of tread though are starting to crack (as far as i can remember-will have look and update)
bought them for a trailer but have no use for them.
20 of your finest squids and they are yours

which radiator are you running in your triumph, is it the BMW one matched to that specific engine?
not sure what size m52 you have but if youre running a smaller radiator for a larger m52 then you might well be overheating because of that..
someone told me-regards m50s anyway that even a radiator off a 2 litre m50 isnt going to stop and 2.5L from overheating..?
