Well Mr Speedy, This just means that you'll need to build a suitably trailer (with a hidden roll bar, seats & seatbelts) [think rickshaw style] for the kids to "safely" enjoy it with you.. ;-)

Think on the bright side, at least your car doesn't have huge spotlights on the front roof that look like Mickey Mouse's ears ;-)
Wonderfull work restoring the car to a far more sensible condition than it would ever have left the factory in, it really is a credit to all your hard work!

I like the first pic with the curved intake as it matches the lines of the car.
Can I ask why you needed to replace the original glass? Its not as if you were changing the roofline or anything else that would require a change in the glass size or shape.
(I'm sorry of this is an obvious thing, but I'm not up on modding and the various rules of it)

Why ever not? What are the odds of getting pulled by the plod? I should have added this at the end - 😉 😁😁 I'd say the odds of that depend on wether or not the local prodnoses/ curtain twitchers/ @rsehole spots you and takes massive offence at somebody daring to have fun and enjoy themselves

Probably a really stupid question... But you made the frames, had access to the jigs... why not make your own frame and build the bike that way?
BTW cracking find on CL, and even better that you were the one who built it

This is very interesting to me, more from a technical point of what folks can do nowadays.... However,, 3D printing is fast becoming a big thing for accessories and add-ons in my other hobby of air rifle target shooting, there is a lot of money to be made for people who are prepared to invest a bit of time and skill in single shot loader trays, rifle butt hooks etc etc Show me what you mean This kind of thing www.airgunforum.co.uk/forums/showthread.php/233004-Artemis-P15-single-shot-trayMany PCP air rifles have a multi shot magazine, competition shooters cannot use these magazines as they need to be removed between shots and its a pain in the neck and so they need single shot trays, often they are either unavailable or made from aluminium and quite (stupidly) expensive (have a look at Rowan Engineering), with the advent of 3D printers some are starting to realise that this is a godsend in terms of what can quickly and relatively cheaply be achieved and tested

Mate that looks brilliant, but can I ask why you never put a window in the back at the offside? the cooker area seems so dark without one

What is the red scooter in the very first picture?
I would be sympathetic in my overhaul, trying to keep it as original as possible, sticking a modern engine and brakes in it will make it more reliable... but thats not what its about is it?
very best of luck with the recommissioning adventure RW
