Had to buy this, the previous owner Ritch had a wicked sense of styling in his choice of rims (IMHO) and after a viewing he (Percy) is all mine... It's not very often I buy a car where I am instantly happy with the styling - but in this case I think I am? Plan's for the new year, # Full service and cam belt - specialists only charge £175 to supply and fit a cam belt!! far cheaper than I expected and really not worth tackling myself for that price? £125 for a major service... # Increase the ride height slightly, only needs about 10mm to stop the rear tyres scrubbing - again only £30 for a pump up... # Powdercoat the TR6 steels - currently silver but not sure if I should consider anything else? Your thought's?

.. Also worth noting the strict noise limits at Goodwood... please do make it clear to all who are hoping to be on track that there are static and drive-by limits... and the organisers will have to be strict. The venue's license is more valuable than one individual's fun. Moderators / HotWire... If I can assist at all, please let me know (pm maybe with a phone number / email?) What is the typical noise limit at Goodwood?

i'm working on attaining some bigger balls to actually dare try it You don't need big balls, the whole vibe of the day relaxes you, it was my first time this year and virtually everyone you speak to when signing on has never done it before either - go for it, your missing out 👍

For me its a lot better than taking it to a carshow, where people will brush up against it/ scratch paint/ open doors/ and even will sit in or on it without asking. You loose an entire day that could have been spent in the garage, and you are expected to pay for the privilege as well. 100% agree with that, I've done quite a few shows this year and end up getting a bit 'bored' and leaving early after paying for the privilege..... Next summer I plan to spend more time in the garage at least until RRG'18.....

It was my first time up the hill and I really couldn't fault anything.
Ian does an awesome job, communication is top notch before and during the event.
The only thing that surprised me was how short the briefing was? I know 'its just a hill' but was certainly brief - think its because I'm used to full track day briefing's - but saying that it did seem to run smoothly, so ultimately is fit for purpose?!

Last year I watched the morning session and took part in the afternoon. The other suggestion is to some kind of spectator programme with details of cars running. Although this would add to ticket prices and massively to organiser workload. It'd be to next step to making the show feel "bigger" to punters. Almost like an RR 'Top Trumps' format?

So it's happened? & was I disappointed? hell no!! Both me & my old man had such a good day, the whole vibe was perfect and the mg actually behaved?! (overheated on arrival last year!!) Ian did an amazing job organising the hill, I even turned down an extra run! Thanks for everyone making it such a good day, spoke to loads of people on the day of which no doubt most frequent on here?! A couple of vids, So what's next? Need to finish the 'other' projects in line a morris minor, mk2 escort, MG Midget, '67 beetle so i'm done for the next 4 years at least

I'm pretty sure the landlord can claim ownership on the basis of it being abandoned on her land with no payment for storage fees for 'x' amount years which would have susperseded the value of the car?

Your correct, that was after we had straightened it out by hand aswell....
We have spoke tonight, I got a quote from a bodyshop for mine and it was around the £400 mark with me providing the paint. So we have agreed £300 cash to avoid insurance and I will repair it myself when time allows.
So all has been resolved in gentlemanly fashion with no hard feelings 😊

My old man is travelling down with me, we have one car booked for the hill (sharing the driving on the hill)and another on a club stand. Will be getting there nice and early for the hill - as per the pack sent out will we be ok to park on the club stand super early? Cheers Gav

So a week before the gathering I get hit by an MG T. The whole situation was ridiculous, A) It's a bright Orange 'B and he 'didn't see it'. B) There was not even space for his 'T - notice the wooden post between mine the fellow 'B owner. Damage is, Cracked front valence Cracked indicator lense Paintwork down to primer on wing edge and a crack on the top edge by the scuttle. Guy apologised but was more concerned about his 'kinked' rear wing - the nasty fibreglass crunch it made on mine I expected much worse... So now what do I do?! guy would prefer not to go down the insurance route - I could repair it all myself but I just don't have the time? and why should I lose a few weekends of my time fixing it? I have just notified my insurance on the hope they allow me to use a body shop of my choice? as I know of a decent body shop locally that I would trust to repair the damage.
