A few of mine, A CBR250, did a lot of work on this, I fitted a chinese fairing as the original was wrecked, the quality was better than I was expecting, and I painted the tank to suit. A fun wee thing, I always fancied an FZR250 to go with it.. 86' GSXR1100G, again, this was a load of work, it was rough when I got it and had a horrendous red and white paint job. It now has a late low mileage 1200 Bandit engine installed and a JMC swingarm. I also have a new Yoshi exhaust to install. This is probably my favourite bike i have at the moment. ZXR750 H2, not so clean this one but not too bad, needs the carbs set up as it's a bit fluffy and it's currently running an electric waterpump (which it doesn't like too much) as I couldn't get a replacement pump for it. RGV VJ22. Great bike, currently seized, needs a full rebuilt and I can't be arsed at the moment as I have other stuff to do. KTM RC8R, just sold this at the start of the winter, sorely missed.. Garage space is an issue..

Found inside the front chassis leg of a Subaru Brat I imported from Texas. A rattler skin.. Still haven’t found the owner.

There was one of those down the road from where I stayed when I was a kid, it was hearing aid beige and I bloody loved it!! I thought it looked ace with the roofrack and spotlights. I still quite like them now!

My Mother had a dark green Maxi with brown perforated vinyl "leatherette" seats which used to leave spotty marks on the back of your legs when you sat in the back with shorts on. It had the obligatory rust holes in the wings and looked terrible, If I remember right she bought it for 30 quid. Me and my Sister used to duck down in the back so our pals wouldn't see us. After that we had an orange Fiat Strada, which was wibblepoo at the time but would be cool now!

I agree with Lord13's post. That Capri looks a lot like my EN Civic rust wise, especially the front of the bonnet. The Civic was my dad's parents' last car. I drove it a few times before I even had a licence. Dad gave it to me to force his mum to give up driving as she was becoming a danger to herself and others. I and both my wives dailied that thing for many years until it got too rusty to get a wof (mot). My eldest daughter was conceived in the back seat. It hasn't been legal in over a decade and never will be again but I'll keep it until it dissolves into the ground because of the memories. P.S. I drove my Civic today. Rust curse word it may be but it always starts. Loving the rubber on the front!

Great, looking good. What vehicle was the A-Bar originally from? I just bought one for a late hilux, it's a lot thicker and will need fettling too.

I remember from a while back Isuzu Troopers had these these valves, Although I can’t remember if they were electric or vacuum operated, might be worth a look.

If you copy that piccy from the ad, and show it to your local signwriter/vinyl place I’m sure they could knock one up.

Lifts are pretty popular in Oz, and they fit hilux sized rims and tyres. As far as I’m aware it isn’t too difficult and consists of installing spacers between the subframes and the body, and extending the steering column and gear linkage, plus brake lines etc.

Very good indeed. Just need to fit the standard rear facing seats and voila! *anorak on* 1986 was the last year of the rear facing seats *anorak off* Anyway, any updates? I’ve been working on mine and came across a snake skin yesterday, hope I don’t find the owner!!

Looking good! Your speed of progress is impressive. I started having a hunt for the US spec steel bumper as I quite fancy one too but I can;t find anything. I imagine shipping from the states would be a lot. My Texas truck has the side markers and front indicators but it's all plastic, similar to the UK spec one. This is annoying as (like you) I wanted to keep the wings repeater free, I could wire in the side markers as you are going to but I'm still stuck with the fugly front indicators in the bumper. The current plan is to use the UK bumper but install some subtle aftermarket repeaters in the bumper ends to mimic the US spec ones. That will have to do until I find a steel bumper and ends. Have you considered 15" modular wheels? I have on my red one and it looks pretty good and I don't think they show up too much as they still have a period style. You can get the weller 7 spoke style which would be more in keeping with your plan. They are bloody heavy though.

Another good bit of progress made, what are your thoughts about side repeaters for the mot?

I might be interested, however I was more after a complete car so I could get the loom etc. Do you have any other parts? Also would you be willing to stick everything on a pallet for collection? Thanks.

Would make your kitchen a nice metallic blue. TBH, I think the cans are plenty strong enough, I have had them pretty hot and haven't painted myself yet.

A tip for using the rattle cans, if you heat them up in a basin of hot water prior to spraying, the spray pattern will be a lot finer due to the raised pressure in the can. That's the theory anyway, but it definitely helps the "spatter".

I did notice a company was selling a full size decal set, can't remember where I saw it though. I didn't know about the differences in the grills, I like the slatted look, something else for me to look out for! You're making cracking progress.
