My Mother had a dark green Maxi with brown perforated vinyl "leatherette" seats which used to leave spotty marks on the back of your legs when you sat in the back with shorts on. It had the obligatory rust holes in the wings and looked terrible, If I remember right she bought it for 30 quid. Me and my Sister used to duck down in the back so our pals wouldn't see us. After that we had an orange Fiat Strada, which was wibblepoo at the time but would be cool now!

Mid 80's, my Dad returned home with one of these. I was horrified! A Pope Mobile! My god it was awful. Rattly as anything with a gearbox that felt like stirring treacle!

There was one of those down the road from where I stayed when I was a kid, it was hearing aid beige and I bloody loved it!! I thought it looked ace with the roofrack and spotlights. I still quite like them now!

My mum and dad both had Sierras, standard and Cosworrh but my grandad had a rusty Fiat 131 estate, bright yellow and I hated it had a twincam in though, and when he sold it it was used in a bank robbery in Liverpool and later torched.

My parents Vauxhall Belmont which was my Grandfathers It used to smoke constantly, leak when it rained and broke down and was towed so often I thought it was a trailer. I'm in the back messing around. Strangely I really fancy one now!

Being reasonably young (26) my parents haven't really had many old cars that were ugly (mini's, mk2 golf, mk1,2,3 fiestas, an escort mk2 and a mk2 orion ghia) they were reasonably new at the time and I didn't think they were ugly as well as a couple of puntos.
The uglier "modern" cars are my mums specialty, from 2004 on wards it's all she's owned, I liked some of them for their quirkiness, especially the forfour.
Smart forfour in melon green and silver Smart fortwo roadster coupe Fiat 400L (the big fat people carrier one) 2011 Nissan cube Infiniti Q70, it had a 350z engine and hybrid motors, which made it rapid with electric everything.
She's had a few less "interesting" cars in between scenics, zafiras and other things. She changes quite often, having had a smart fortwo for about 6 months and has an abarth 595 now and a bmw m135 on the drive. I guess the bmw could be counted as ugly.

It was fantasticly comfy and very nice to drive, I got to have a go a couple of times when I'd just passed my test, hers had premature head gasket failure which prompted sale back to dealer after a years ownership.

From my memory, my parent's ugliest motors were a typically rusty Harvest Gold Austin 1300, a light metallic green Renault 12TL (which wasn't bad, it just looked a bit 'French/Eastern Bloc'), a beige Morris Marina estate, and a couple of Austin Metros with the typical rusty front wings.
My parents also owned the Morris Minor Traveller they later gave me for my 18th birthday in 1989, though it was a right heap back then, with brush-painted bodywork, and quite a few other bodges!
My dad was saying only the other day that one of his favourites was a Riley 1.5 owned in the 1970s, which he had after having a rather nice red Ford Escort Mk1 1300GT, a car which would be worth a mint nowadays, along with one of the first bay-window VW Campers with Devon conversion...

yeuch
That was replaced by a Fiat Regata, a bit better looking but my dad spent more time under the bonnet fixing it than driving it

But the A 99 - 05 is a brilliant motor! The chassis and set up was done by Porsche and they can handle enthusiastically if driven hard

Yeah that would be why! It's a Zafira B they are awful (Personal opinion) I have an A, and it's so much nicer to drive, i'm on my second as the first one was punted from behind. They are also about to get into that Retro status as the oldest ones are now 18 years old

Metro city x in brown. C reg. I refused a lift to school even in the worst weather. My sister didn't. So I had to pretend she wasn't my sister. Didn't want any guilt by association. Kids are harsh.
