E36 318is coupe would return the mpg you want, some early ones have lsd's as well. I was about to suggest the same. I have one, it's a pleasure to drive, nippy rather than fast and rather good on fuel. I am currently averaging 39 mpg out of mine, although most of that is down to being sat at 50 mpg on my work commute. Even driven in a spirited fashion it'll still achieve 35mpg+ I love mine to bits and you can find them with a lot of kit on them which makes them almost as good as a modern car in terms of creature comforts. Find one without rot and it's a really reliable drive. Well worth converting from a ual mass to single mass fly, makes for a fun rev happy car!

I've watched both series of GT, my take on it is that it is a pure clone of Old, New Top Gear. They aren't really doing anything new. From what I have seen of the latest series of Top Gear I have really enjoyed. It's been more enjoyable to watch than series two of GT. They seem to be trying a few new ideas out and starting to put their own take on things. Yeah there are still bits I am not overly interested in, but on the whole I think they have done a pretty good job so far. Better than most of the dross on TV. I love the RX7, it's one of my fav cars ever, do I care that they ruined that one, no not really. It'll raise the profile of it and maybe inspire people into saving a few that might otherwise have ended up fragged. It's only a bit of bodywork damage, if someone really wanted to fix it, it could be done, so to my mind it isn't completely ruined anyway.

If you get stuck for parts, a mate of mine has one which is being broken for spares. lots of trim available and body panels. He is keeping the running gear for a project. I've been ebaying some parts for him, but still have loads of smaller trim bits sat in my garage. All will be priced to sell!

IMO I would keep the engine transplant BMW, they have some cracking motors to choice from, my 328I was putting out 230bhp pre map with mods I did and a friend of mine is getting 240bhp+ out of his N/A 318is M44 lump but that's quite costly getting up to that, his getting it up to 300bhp as we speak with his current build out of a 4 cylinder lump! Out of interest what mods is he running and how much effect of fuel economy has it had? the 4 cylinder 16v motors are cracking in std trim (even better with a single mass lighter fly), they give a nice mix of good fuel economy and enough power that it isn't completely gutless! (the m50 325i I had was great, but thirsty and the 8v 4 pot in my silver coupe was also thirsty due to lacking the power to pull the skin from a rice pudding)

price dropped from 225 to 180, that really is as low as I will go. It's a rare car, well worth saving imo and would make a cracking project for someone. Just imagine it with a v6 out of a later 323f, what a machine that would be!

What to do with the elderberries? Ice cream is the first thing that springs to mind, either as a ripple or mixed properly as a flavour and colouring. You could also try making jam with a kick? You need to be a bit careful with elderberries, unripe fruit contain a toxic alkaloid and the stems, leaves and seeds contain glycoside which can form into cyanide and thus result in poisoning. Make ure you do lots of research on how to prep correctly and the berries can be used to make jams etc

I think the point the buyer is making is that that the reason the case has closed (presumeably without them getting their money back yet) is that you agreed to refund upon return of your item. It seems to me to be a bit of crossed wires. You saying not to bother sending the item back does make it look like you are trying to be crafty and avoid giving the buyer their refund now that the case is closed. The buyer is being a bit angry, but I can kind of see why.
Solution is simple, let them return the item, give them their refund once you get the part back.

First off, make no mistake this is a restoration project. If you can't weld, or afford someone who can don't waste your time (and more importantly my time) contacting me! If you can weld, then read on! So it is a fairly rare Mazda 323f in black, with the single over-head cam 1600 mated to a manual gearbox. Most of these cars tend to be autos and were therefore rubbish! I bought this car for no other reason than to save it from the scrappy/budget race fodder as they are pretty rare, even more so in manual. Granted it is never going to be worth loads, but if you are looking for a good practical retro car you could do a whole lot worse. My plan was to weld the sills up and sell the car on as a simple project, however due to an impending job change I don't see myself getting the spare time to do it now until summer 2018, which has made me consider selling. Good points: -it's a 323f with pop up lights and a manual box! -Bodywork is decent for its age, no major arch rot -Engine runs well -pop ups pop up fine -tidy interior with the exception of the drivers seat -working central locking with a couple of keys and one remote fob -can be driven onto a trailer -most of it seems to work Bad points: -both rear ends of sills require welding, I have cut the rot out -exhaust leaks, so will need attention -rear drop link needs replacement -tyres old and need replacing There may be other bits and bobs wrong with it, probably best to come and view it if you are genuinely interested. So far I have fixed the drivers lock which had a snapped key inside of the barrel. I have also installed a fresh set of ht leads and a set of plugs,a new rotor arm and dizzy cap to fit as the car clearly hadn't been serviced in a while. Starts well, revs smoothly through the rev range. I have also machine polished the bodywork. I am more interested in finding the right person to get this old girl back to a useable state than anything else. You will need a trailer! I am in no hurry, if it doesn't sell and I find the spare time, it'll slowly get welded up and I will just go from there. Collection from Hook Norton, oxon

I have noticed stuff has become difficult to sell this past year and not just cars. People are a lot less interested in spending money on stuff they don't really need. I used to sell a fair bit of car tat each year, mostly to allow me to buy and maintain other bits of car tat. A few years back I could buy a set of wheels, give them some tlc and sell them within days or even hours in some cases and make a modest amount of beer money. Recently I am lucky if I break even on a set of wheels. For example I had a set for sale recently which owed me £40 plus an afternoon of my weekend, finished to a very good standard and priced at a very reasonable £80. Still have them, haven't sold! A few years back I could have sold them within a day at that price. I think it can be put down to people being unsure about the current economic climate, thus making them less willing to spend money if they don't have to. I know I have been a lot more careful with my money the past year.

Citroen Ax, size 14 feet, worlds smallest pedal arrangement, quite often had feet on 3 pedals at once. I developed a a method for doing it, but couldn't for the life of me remember when I had a go in a Saxo a few months ago, couldn't drive it at all. I had similar issues with the saxo i had driving lessons in. Pedals were far to close for my abnormally wide feet!
