So I went to see an FC RX7 on saturday, I did every check I could without a compression tester to check the apex and coolant seals were in tact.
Unfortunately the car has not tax or test so I cant drive the thing, so it was merely checking the engine in neutral, leading to the main issue the boost gauge started at -20 and got to 0 at redline. Is this likely to be an issue with the gauge, a pipe somewhere or the turbo itself? It is a Turbo II model. How would I check for any of these faults?
Aside from that the car seemed remarkably clean for a CAT C and 20 odd years, so any other issues to check for before I make an offer?
Thanks -SB

To add to the above, yellow bulb covers would look excellent on this

I saw a Japanese Kenmeri where the rear lights had been changed for a speedo and rev counter, looked pretty cool, especially if you get one thats illuminated.

I would recommend Marlin Motors in Milton Keynes, me and a lot of friends have had cars rolled and mapped there. marlinmotors.boschauto.co.ukATSpeed recommended in the thread are very good too.

This is exactly the type of build I want to do, but I'm thinking of going for a 13b engine.
Just want to find a way to make the rear look more aggressive, as the front can look mean!

Maybe go for a manga scene? Or a Coi is always good! Just think a graphic would look better than plain colour.
Even if maybe it was just some very bright text like Japanese game shows?

So I'm considering buying an Amazon, it will be a total restoration so wondering if any one with experience can let me know how hard it is to get parts, where to get them, and if I'm going to be shilling out a lot for parts.
Thanks, SB

Ive wanted to make some carbon parts for a while now, dyou mind if I ask is there anything you need to look for when buying carbon weave? would a glass base work for most parts or panels? and finally what release agent should I use?
Thanks and the car and workmanship looks great!

Hope you don't mind, had a quick fiddle in PS Extended your bumper bar across a little, extended the top so it was flat and filled the grille completely with the rad. Than filled in behind the indicators so theres no gap and extended the bonnet down and added part over the light then the three intake holes.

My fourth year is up this month and my quotes on basically everything over 1.2 fully comp are 1k.
Basically add all the women in the family you can, mothers, sisters, aunts, as named drivers.

The lowest I know of among friends is 1500 and a tracker in the car.
You wont get insurance without a tracker under about 2-3000
Realistically based on how good/bad your postcode is you're looking at 1500-2500 on a tracker insurance.
The ridiculous tracking insurers that monitor your acceleration/braking/cornering will give rebates for good driving, however they are very strict, or you can get some that just monitor what time you drive and how far.
