So I'm considering buying an Amazon, it will be a total restoration so wondering if any one with experience can let me know how hard it is to get parts, where to get them, and if I'm going to be shilling out a lot for parts.
Thanks, SB

They're brilliant, but they do know how to rust. Watch out for previous bodgery.

Very comfy and smooth - with acres of space and split boot (estate) - They do rust but are made of good metal, and really easy to drive, until you take a corner on crossplies .....
They are very heavy - If you get one with crossplies on (i did) change the tyres immediately! It's no fun doing roundabouts on a full load at 10mph with the tyres squealing

Contrary to popular opinion, I do have mechanical sympathy, I always feel sorry for the cars I drive.

Go to volvoforums.org. Massive amounts of info.
I'm helping a colleague restore his, and plant a b230 into it. Parts are easily available and relatively cheap when compared to other cars of that era. His looked spotless but hid all manor of bodge repairs and filler. Check it very carefully for tin worm.
They are lovely classics though, but spend a few thousand on a well researched minter. They can turn into BIG projects!!
If you do decide on one, I have a B20 lump here that's solid but needing unleaded seats for sale much cheapness. Good B18 upgrade....

No lighter or heavier than any of its rivals.
