That's very local to me. I currently rent a lock-up off the council and an office for my business at a different address but am looking to buy somewhere to combine both garage and office in the same place. If somewhere similar comes up I'd be happy to consider buying it and renting some of the garage space out to others to help cover the cost. Somewhere rural north of Leicester would be great.

I swear by high mileage ex company cars I wouldn't touch one myself as they're often owned by people like me. I did 60k miles a year for two years in a brand new company car Accord. I never washed it once, never opened the bonnet once, bounced up and down kerbs and verges and generally treated it like a workhorse. I also forgot to get it serviced once or twice. It was a great car and perfect for my needs but after 120k miles I'm not sure how much life was left in it. I look after my own cars, of course, but this was a hired company workhorse and treated accordingly (pardon the pun). Lots of VAG diesels were company cars, I'd be VERY picky about buying one, there are plenty about so take your time, OP

To echo the others here, £7k is a lot of money for a very niche car, bide your time and find another?

Love these. The PU51 CAT plate is cool. I grew up watching my Dad do the signwriting on the likes of these, some nice pics here, thanks for sharing.

This is something that's been set up by a group called the Coalville Town Team (mainly a bunch of local shopkeepers and business owners) to pull people back into the town, they'll be things on all across the town. What a good idea. I'm not too far away, I'll stick the date in my diary and see if I can bring something interesting along on the day. Good luck

The Track car idea only really works if you can do it on the cheap, that means no tax or MOT and trailering it to trackdays that will accept it, and you still have to fix the non-starting/running issues which will be a faff/expense. I think it's best to remember the car for the fun times you've had with it, and move on, sad as that might seem. EBay time.

No worries. My Dad is a semi-retired old school signwriter, actually, I remember him pinstriping stuff when I was a kid. He also does vintage reg plates and museum pieces, very good they are too. It's a rare skill It is indeed and much respect to him, must have been great growing up around such a skill. What's his name and where are you based? Ta. I'm not sure he'd want his name plastered online as it's rather distinctive and he is winding down for retirement, but he's based in Leicester, I'll try and get some pics of his work if anyone is interested.

February's issue is out now, read for free online here > www.joomag.com/magazine/motorpunk-february-2014/0647114001391179115The main feature is a daft stunt we did in December, I scrounged a Lotus Exige S and we raced it against an inverted stuntplane, just for kicks. Great fun until we got busted by the HSE. Also there's a review of the Jaguar XK8 and Ferrari 512iBB, a feature about Outrun, stuff on sledges, a trip to the Donington bike show, some made up letters and a transcript of timewaster annoying some ambulance chasers. There's info and a taster of the 'car club 18-30' summer trackday too plus some vintage car adverts instead of modern car adverts. No watch stories, no car insurance adverts, no pop-ups, no banner ads and no need to register to read. I hope you like it. Feedback, good, bad and ugly always welcome. Thanks.

Could we bring 1981 lancer turbos? We have 3 and also my 1986 200zr I believe the only one who has one on the road still? But if anyone gets within 3 feet I will be forced to abandon the tack day as I cannot risk it being touched. You will see once I finally make it to a meet I've spent last year sorting out my life so have been very busy but I did promise I'll bring some of the retro toys out for the guys to see and admire and vice versa. I'll be emailing you tomorrow, many thanks , B A Lancer Turbo and/or a 200zr would be very very welcome. This is not a bumper-to-bumper banger day, all cars coming are cherished and the idea is to get on track with some modern classics that perhaps haven't been on track before. We have refused entry for some cars/drivers considered perhaps a bit inappropriate for the event already, but your cars would be great. Please drop an email ASAP to 18-30@motorpunk.co.uk and we'll take it from there.

Wow! This is selling out very quickly already and we've only been 'live' a week or so. Quite a bit of British Leyland stuff coming, plus some old Porsches, classic BMWs and a beautiful Alfa, amongst other things. No Frenchies yet though. I'll post up the entry list when I get two minutes.
