Didn't realise they had alloy panels I was thinking about these the other day, don't they have the old landrover engine in them? If so a 200/300tdi should fit and make a cool daily cruiser Yeah, the bonnet , boot and doors are all aluminium . and on this car are all still in good condition thankfully. The TDI swap has been done on a few of these as it is apparently an easy swap (one was sold on ebay very recently). . . Something to consider if the engine dies or I decide the mpg is horrific (which it will be) first task after I've built the workshop is to get it MOT ready and then see what else needs doing.

The Red oxide is actually growing on me, It'll stay for a while . I quite like my bare metaled aluminium boot too, but that'll probably tarnish very quickly. Basically just making it look externally pleasing until I get it under cover to really start on it.

I had a very similar problem on an old Hillman, Turned out to be the ignition coil breaking down when hot. So that is another possibility along with the above from mad.

I Bought a Rover P4 100 over the summer on impulse. Now I have to build a garage at my new gaff to house it, ooops.
It'll be wooden construction, but I only have a footprint of 20'x12' to play with and although it's bigger than a standard single car garage it's still not ideal. (The rover is over 14' long)
what size garages have you got? and do you have any tips on handy space saving storage solutions?
cheers!

OK, I've bought a Rover P4 and My Daily Lancer has just developed a fault so this has to go almost completed project , My ugly mug for scale , I'm 5'8"ish . It needs a bit of a tidy and the carb setting up properly, It runs and rides just idles a bit high currently. No Mot , currently on sorn it owes me around £425 , but I know I won't get that, so looking for around £350 , open to negotiation. any viewing / testing welcome in Ipswich.

I own a 63 super minx myself,if serviced and with electronic ignition they will run all day, they have a good heater too!!!. the hillman is the same pcd as ford ,so ka,fiesta, escort wheels fit with no adaptions, like early fords some had drums some had discs. I think you have under-valued your super minx, someone should grab it quick, non runners with no mot get 6 to 900 on e-bay and in the cc papers, parts are still easily available, and not priced through the roof like fords, , ps some interior photos would help cheers fella, I've had quite a lot of interest, but it's all been "if i had the cash/space/you were closer etc etc" I think it's worth more myself but the current market seems to disagree. If you know of anyone/ or hear of anyone looking, point em' my way.
