Just returned from Malta, did quite a bit of old car stuff. Might try and do a thread if I get a chance. Tom

One of my favourite cars, would have it back in a heartbeat. Estates are just cool. Tom

These are all excellent, I'm sure I'll be bugging (no pun) Stu and the B289 crew with questions. What has there been in the scene from the last ten years or so that have been winning/firing up the imagination? Max from Eva Resto has been building some pretty nice Bugs. His latest Mexibug in BBS is special. Also try and get Josh Gresswell to get his Link Pin converted 1303s back out and about!

I am a very simple minded individual, but to me this seems a much better idea than wholesale electric vehicles.
Surely it's more sustainable, especially as it'll mean older cars can be converted and used as normal.
Although I take Matt's point about the water vapour not being the best for engine internals.

Oooh, one thing to ask, any chance that next year we could have all the quick 60 cars parked on the grid at lunch time on the Saturday so we can have a wander round them. Really loved that last year and had a great chat with the chap who owned the 240/260z IMSA car

It was as laid back as ever, good security who aren’t on a power trip always helps. My only criticism this year was the food. I think it worked a bit better last year where the food vans were in a circle round the outside of some seating on the lower hard standing area. This year where they were there was relatively little seating close by. The were noticeably fewer food outlets (worst of all no curry goat- it’s got to the point I don’t take any food for the Sunday as I always have that which caught me out this year) but the ones that were there were offensively expensive with maybe the exception of the tacos which is what I ended up having. . The bengali streetfood wanted £17 for a tray and £2.50 for a can of coke, so basically £20 per person. Thanks but no thanks. Problem with that setup last year was that the queues started blocking the access/exit towards the Campsite so people were having to drive through the crowds which was a bit of an issue.

Yeah we had two Newbies with us and they loved it. Cracking show and I think the lay out this year worked really well.

Fantastic event, I just love the eclectic mix of cars.
Had a couple of RRG Virgins with us as well and now there's plans in place to go to the Weekender next year as well 😁

I think its a swing and a miss.
Could be much improved with stock rear lights and shortening the rear overhang
