do Bogg Bros off a service just to see how much power your car has got?, would be interested to see how many of my horses have escaped from the 34 it had to begin with. Not bothered about the tuning service, just want to see how much power I have got when I begin so I can see how much progress I make. If they do offer this service or they don't but others will, how much should I expect to pay for this?

I don't need to press a button to make an oil slick But I wish I had the button for Ludicrous Speed.... and it worked.

Cheers for the replies, and I had a quick look online but they all seem to say about the law back from a few years ago before smartphones really took off so most sites I found were on about just calling and texting. I just wondered if there was anyone who may know where it clearly says. I remember finding out the law about bluetooth units the other month but can't find this now to see if there were other relevant laws surrounding them.
Edit: Found what I was looking for, and also I think I'll just play it safe and buy a radio to wire up rather than making it so my phone works as the radio.

What are the rules of using a phone whilst driving? I know you cannot make calls except with a bluetooth headset or similar and texting is a no no.
But if I was to have a mount on my dashboard in a little holder and have it sat there like a sat nav, and sometimes use it as sat nav is there anything wrong with that? (I'm guessing there isn't but wondering if anyone knows specifically).
But the main reason I'd use my phone is for songs. What are the rules of using it to change songs if it is plugged into your car radio or sending music over radio waves, just pressing next etc. as this surely is no worse than using your radio but thought I'd check to see whether it is allowed or whether it's illegal because its using a mobile phone.
And as a last thing what about using a GPS tracker (things like Sportstracker if anyone knows it) as I like to keep a record of where I've driven and how far, average speed etc. I'm guessing that's alright as it can just be left on your dashboard and not touched but whilst I'm asking thought I'd check.
Thanks and sorry if this has been covered before but just wanted to check.
Edit: Also I'm believing its all fine just aslong as its in a handsfree kit and on the dashboard.

Its just a quick thought I had whilst looking at it but by the looks of it could be suitable. Music Player Video player Very Small size so could be tucked away behind a screen, could make the whole thing removable as one just by unplugging leads for power and speakers. Allowing you to use it in house as a tablet. Turns on and off just by removing/giving power, so could wire it up so turns on with ignition. Think I read it would be 5v, so fine for a car if you if you make your own power supply. Only things that I'm thinking may be an issue is the cost of the screen (still not sure what to do here) And how I would get it to work with the normal car speakers? any ideas? But if I can get it to work for lets say less than £130 (using second hand parts like keyboard and mouse and possibly screen) then I think I may have a carputer

That'll be the JTD engine won't it? Think thats whats also in the newer Saabs and if you get the Saab version you can get 230ish bhp and 500nm of torque (385lb.ft) just by plugging it into a computer (the TTid engine)

suppose I could use them, just cause I might have plans to install one of these along with a small monitor (about 7") and then a portable hard drive to make an in car computer.
Its either that or just buy a radio.

You're just making it too easy now ;D Here's some I made previously: Photoshop of what the dashboard I'm gonna have will look like. Exterior Mods, not too much of a change but I'm hoping for more mechanical changes I also love the idea of a 4 Door van with a 2.0TTid along with the XWD from a new Saab 9-5 (180bhp, and can have 230bhp easily with just a computer tune). But any powerful Tdi will keep me happy if I were to do it. Them two black lines above are meant to be CB aerials. Stretched for length, but also width (look at windscreen wipers and the extra lights now either side of front grill), want 4WD but would be happy to have RWD. If I ever make it in real life though chances are it will be a 4x4 version mounted on a Land Rover 110 Chassis and have it as an off-roader Think this, on air so it can be raised for off-road work Will make some new photoshops to add though.

I used to see a P reg Morris Minor Traveller. Before about '82 the DVLA issued you a current plate if you had a previously unregistered car. The Morris was ex-MOD and had previously been on Army plates. When they ere sold they just got current civilian plates. I suspect there were late registered landrovers and the like too. Yeah my Dads Land Rover is a 1971 lightweight registered in 1979 due to it being ex-MOD

I also use a spreadsheet to keep track of how many miles I do, how many litres are put into the car etc. On the VW Fox I used to drive I have averaged about 44mpg over 3,445 miles although I did have one drive out where I managed to average 22.2mpg over 120miles, this is with a standard 1.2 engine, poor thing was being driven a bit hard that day but I did manage to prove the spec wrong when it said the top speed is 92mph, the top speed of a VW Fox 1.2 is actually over 100mph Also checked it in a second VW Fox with GPS and that said the same thing

I know its a film but I've seen it on TV channels Really can't believe no one else has said it though, (unless I'm blind) Gone in 60 Seconds. Another for this one though: Ashes to Ashes. Life on Mars. Again another film, but I need to somehow slip an A35 in here Wallace and Gromit
