Now thats cool! Ive never seen that before and never heared of group S, must educate myself.
That Mini has probably got an Arden head, I love how it just been hacked about with bits slapped on it with seemingly no attempt to make it 'nice', just double 'ard. Then topped of with the fattest set of steels wheels possible.

I had one more search using more basic terms, and found another type. This time, its exactly what I was looking for. Just the job. Only problem is it showed up how filthy the car is. Job for tomorrow.

Without being biasd they ore one of the best looking 90's coupes, and that appears to be VERY well priced.

Since ive had Nissans ive been quite interested in these little pike cars, Ive had ideas in my head for a Pao or Figaro for some time, along the lines of cafe-racer with beefed up stance. Basicly this but sits like this I'm not that fussed about the S-cargo, and no matter how rare the be-1 is I cant quite see past its budget mini looks.

I like that - I posted it up in the pickups thread and I’m sure in another thread too. I’m surprised it hasn’t sold yet to be honest. I like it too, never seen one. No matter how rare that is (beleived to be the only one left) its needs slamming. Slug stance.

I would have thought that blue one was a little too blue? Even if the oddness of lights didnt matter for MOT, if it was on my own car it would irritate me somewhat. I always replace bulbs in pairs, atm ive got somesort of brighter white light standard sidelight bulb in the cube, fully rotating fingers are required for changing them so I hope they don't blow in a hurry. Id imagine the bulbs above would be more likley to fail on the blueness of one rather than the difference between them.

When I returned the car to my boss he was over the moon with it, really chuffed. I pulled out the box with the bulbs in just to tell him they worked and the asked if I could put them in. So I took the car home again. The car didnt have its original battery and half of the original switch was missing. I worked out the best way I could do it with what I had but it would have meant drilling out an existing hole in the undertray. I wasnt keen on the idea, but I thought it best to ask as so far the car has got no mods at all, unlike others ive seen on t'bay. Understandably he said no to drilling holes, or any mods, so i Had to change my ideas slightly. The plan was to do it as a standalone item that could be removed at a moments notice and returned to standard. I got a 3V battery to suit the bulbs, battery holder, and the smallest on/off switch I could find. There were already 5 unused holes in the undertray, so I made a plate up to bolt in using 4 of the holes, so the switch could go in the 5th hole. The first time I did it, it fouled on the underside of the seat, so I redid it with a satisfying amount of success. Once I was happy and knew it would fit in the car I got to wiring it up I couldve cut the bolts down, but I found that a couple of scalextric axle bushes were just the right length. The battery holder is mounted at an angle to clear the steering colum, and I used a plug just to make it easier to solder it up before putting it in the car, but it also means the original bulb wires are untouched. Original, WORKING bulbs. From the underside, its very discreet, ideal. As I said, the original bulbs work, but I'm not actually sure if they were ever fitted Moody night shot

One detail I wanted to do on my Cube was the wing indicators. They are clear. For years ive swapped orange lenses for clear ones, but this time, just because this is the first car ive had that came with clear ones as standard, I wanted orange ones. Nothing wrong with clear ones, but they didnt fit with my intention of making it look aged slightly. After searching it seems that these units weren't available in orange, so I bought some lens paint. Better. But not quite there, it needed some chrome. Whilst trying to avoid the 'stick-on-chrome-tat' look, I went in search of some stick on chrome tat. 1) Nope. Listed for a Juke that has the same units, just no. I found 3 types that looked like a possibility, bought 2 that I wasnt quite happy with, so bought the 3rd also, taking a chance that they fitted as they were listed for every other Nissan, but not the Cube. 2) Very thin, almost pointless as you cant really notice it. 3) Totally flat, and just a naff shape 4) Bigger than it looked in the listing, wasnt sure about the shape but it goes well with the chrome door handles, and looks slightly like a Figaro item, looks rubbish in the photo though. Overall, not totally happy with any of them. Should I give up because its a stupid idea and basicly stick-on-chrome-tat, or stick one of them on because it better than it sitting in the box? And I almost forgot 5) Er...... no.

That really is a perfect sleeper. My favourite feature has to be the steering wheel, despite the fact that youve managed to get all that engine under a standard bonnet.

I like it with the black roof, or very dark silver. As long as the bodywork is perfectly straight in sure it will look great. Having seen a car with pearl paint that was rather wibly-wobly, the pearl really highlighted it.

Just been to Tesco. No Hotwheels, just a green wheeled thing. A handful of matchbox, including 3 of these So I bought 3 of these. Not sure why, but I do have some freshandminty-esque wheels that might find their way onto one of them.

Once youve got the colours sorted for the room, id recomend painting the mini to match, or at least compliment it to make it look like part of the room. Personally id do it in full on mk1 style. Incidently ive found Valspar is a great place for choosing colours.

I got as far as bad. That yellow thing looks like a cross between a.. um... thing, and a Scamp. I havnt watched any of it but I might do just for the entertainment value, and that there is probably why its on TV. Personally I think there was something quite remarkable about how leepu went about things, even if the end results were, lets say, variable.
