I still miss my '77 granny: Comfiest car I've ever had. It was like driving around in a cathedral with "chesterfield leather chair feeling" interior

You know my dad has a 62 Austin Cambridge in his barn, that my grandfather bought used in 1964 with 16000km's on it. It's nice to see yours being saved, it gives me hope that some day maybe I'll fix that old heap. What was the difference between The Oxford and the Cambridge? Trim?

850coupe: I think he's been busy with his other project, a '63 Ford Falcon Futura.

Snow here too, although it has been here since December. A few pics: Northern Lights: Front porch: The shed/"garage": My snow mover without the plough: The back yard: And the house with Mrs. Funk's car in front: I live roughly 350 km's north of the polar circle, so we still have some snow this time of year.

I can't believe you haven't mentioned Simon McKinley and his awesome escort MKII:
This guy is either the nuttiest luckiest guy on two feet, or he actually knows what he's doing.

It's too bad you sanded off the paint from the fire extinguisher tubes, It would have been a fun topic of conversation at meets when people wondered how you converted the rear suspension to run coilovers

That is awesome mate! The car looks mean. Has it been off the road a long time? What's your plans for it? I've got a 66 mustang with a '73 302 2 barrel in it. Completely stock minus the vinyl roof and the 302. Love these old fords Here's mine:

As a fellow Taunus owner gotta give you my respect for the work done. Seeing what the crusty 2.0l is capable of is quite intresting lol I wouldnt mind pullin off my driveway with that rage Anyway, if I may, that nice and straight black paintjob really needs a set of old school super deep 14x7s like ATS or Schmidt TH with silly stretched rubber, it would really kick the car into AWESOME territory. Thanks mate, the 2 litre pinto efi is a sturdy good engine that will take truckloads of beating with ok-ish performance in standard trim It's certainly adequate for a daily driver. I think 14X7 would be too small for my taste. The wheels I have now for the studded tyres is 15X7 with 195/65/15 tyres. And the wide wheels is 16X9, but the plan is more stretch when I buy new tyres, currently they are running Dunlop sp9000 225/45ZR16. This size is beginning to be increasingly rare, and therefore expensive, I bought the last 4 tyres in Norway last summer. I'm thinking to go to 215/45/16 next time maybe.

Thanks for the reply, I just asked cause I've never ridden in a hydraulic set up car before. It's got potential for sure What does it have for a powerplant? You should also put up more pics, interior and engine bay?

GORGEOUS photos! And you have my sympathies with the weather, I know how it feels, I just wish we had a night sky like you get! Thanks Buddy, We had nothing but clear skies, northern lights and cold weather in the 6-7 weeks before new years. It was beautiful, but you get tired of the "extreme" cold conditions over a long period All I want now is for some snow, so I can put the mattrack kit on my quad and go mountaineering the lazy way

What are you going to do in regards to the front end? Which suspension setup are you going to use?
