The A-build is deffo my cuppa. It's an absolute must-read, especially from an experienced craftsman like yourself. I'm dreaming of a traditional 28-31 ford with an 8ba flathead, full fendered build in the future, and I'm always reading the threads over on the hamb. I've come so far as to have gathered an engine and a gearbox, but the rest is stil in planning. This Victor build is sick, and I look forward to the future updates. but please make a thread about the model A

Nice to see an update now, the spring is moving closer now, that means more work on my cars. I got the mustang up and running and have used that a bit the last few weeks. Have you gotten rid of the snow down south? I have a weiand 4bbl intake, an edelbrock 750 double pumper carb, a dizzy, a two ported heads for sbc 350, eight .30 overbore pistons, and a good std 350 crank lying around if you'd be interested for your monte carlo. I got them from my uncle as he upgraded his 66 chevelle 350 engine to a 383 stroker. Let me know if you're interested. Also, keep the updates coming

This is awesome I love the look of all the refurbished parts, you really go the extra mile to get an awesome clean look. If you have any pics on how you mounted the steeringwheel I'd be grateful

Sweet ride dude, just spent the last hour or so reading it, love the story and build of it, some cracking pics bud, a real credit to you dude. Thanks a bundle Mate, lovely tinas you got yourself. Four doors, no waiting Bookmarked both threads! A friend of mine has got a 72 mk3 tina, fun little car with the 1.6 crossflow I had two 4dr MK5 Tinas before I got the Taunus. Great cars, got to love these old barges. I'm somewhat pleased with how the Taunus came out after it's rebuild last time. I'm proud of the old beater, and he's like an old friend to me. I just remembered, that in December 2013 I have owned the car for 10 years. Time does really fly! It's doing its duties as a daily now for the second year running since i got it back from Poland. Commuting 80km's to and from work in all types snow/ice/rain/dry every day. I've got a few small niggles to sort out, but at -15c to -20c it's not very motivating to work on now a days :/ Off the top of my head there's a noisy rocker arm needs replacing, a small knock in the front suspension i haven't found yet, fix the lock on the drivers door, fix the heater blower switch to work on full speed, one bad connection in the left indicators, occasional stuttering/misfire when driving to and from work, get the studded tyres re-balanced, mount the remote central locking kit I bought two years ago, lots of stuff that is a blerrdy pain in the awse to do during the winter. I want to get my MK2 RS2k on the road so I can set the Taunus to start the Zetec transplant. But first I got to get the Mustang ready for summer, and so on, and so on Have a few old pics from 2012: It's fun to have and to use something like this nowadays when everybody else is driving androgynous boring "means of transportation". Just this monday when I was inside a petrol station getting a hotdog and a coke after washing the car (ashamed to say that it hadn't been washed in three months) While inside i saw two customers exiting the petrol station, put down what they were carrying and took out their phones to take pictures of the car You don't get that kind of reaction if somebody saw a just washed Audi A4, or a Vw Passat that's for sure Thanks for reading!

I find cars from this era baffling, everyone must have felt like movie stars driving round in 1959 ! The thing is, in 1959 I think they thought the same as soccermoms do now when they pop down to the chemist in her mundane XC90 or Mondeo (or any other modern car). Or to drop the kids off at school or the mall. Cars over there in those times was an item to be used, and replaced. Hard to imagine, I know. US cars from the mid fifties up to early sixties was some of the most radically designed cars of all time, this is one of those cars. Truly a piece of art on wheels. Thanks for posting the pics, and please show us some build pictures Mr. Threadstarter, I am well and truly Bookmarked!

That is certainly the ugliest van I've ever seen in my entire life! I LOVE it! Band the original steelies, the ARTT2's have been overdone lately I think. Keep on keepin on, this is an awesome build, and I hope you keep us updated, thread bookmarked

Well, the photoshop made me decide, so the work started! Take 4pcs of dirty wheels, use abouth 1h15m a piece of heavy duty cleaning with brushes, solvents and steel wool to clean them. The wheels haven't gotten a thorough cleaning on this scale since 2005 when I bought them O.o Mask them up: Paint: De-mask, mount, take a step back and look at what you've done!: Sorry for the fuzzy photo, but proper photos taken with a real camera will come when I have given the car a thorough wash and a t-cut. So, what do you think of the result?

Is that brown? Looks very good indeed! Love the fleet, the Bedford truck rocks ;D Thanks mate, the colour is supposed to be gunmetal/black or something but I think I'm going to go for satin black. The Bedford is mostly in the way, so of you want it it's yours
