Hi all I thought I would post some pictures of my newly aquired Sierra. She is a 1.8 LX with the CVH lump. A mate bought it from Essex and then the water pump started to leak and during his attempt change it he got the timing wrong so it runs really lumpy and had a squeal when running and the back bumper really needs changing as it has a crack/hole. The squeal was from a badly worn alternator belt which I have now cured. Its even MOT'd till October. He decided to scrap the car thinking it was damaged, luckily for me I had an old escort mk5 cabriolet that I was messing with but needing loads of work like paint, panel and electric to name but a few. So a deal was hatched I would scrap my old convertible and get the sierra for what ever the escort made across the bridge which was £120 He also got to keep the steelies from the sierra but that didnt matter as I have a set of Mondeo 16" rims in the back garden. It has absolutely no rattles or squeaks or bangs when driving it and the gearbox is like new super tight with no play. Any way enough of my talking time for some pictures.... I do have the other alloy but it needs a tyre Heres the engine bay Interior I must admit I am not sure whether to keep the car or sell it off to help fund a Rover SD1 but time will tell. Thanks for looking

Hi all
I have a Mk5b escort cabriolet that I bought for parts. Having removed the bits I need it leaves a good 1.8 Zetec 130 engine and box with all ECU's. And it is NON PATS. The loom is still there but has had a few connectors cut off although I do have them so it could be repaired. The car itself is scrap but has loads of good bits still on it such as
Heated screen Rear disc brakes Set of 5 14" alloys Exhaust All window motors and power hood pumps/wiring(Hood is Damaged) Back lights Electric aerial
It does not have
An interior including dash. Fusebox as that was what killed the car in the first place Hood seals except the old ones I took off my cab which are not very good. Starter motor All front lights and either bumper. Bonnet.
The engine is good as is the box. I would prefer to sell complete that way the buyer can then make some money back weighing it in. It seems a shame to bridge it when there are so many good parts on it. Anyone have any idea what its worth if anything, Ideal for a zetec conversion. It would have to be trailered from LE9 Earl Shilton, Leics

I have a 2000 X reg 316i se 1.9 Compact for swaps. It runs/drives really well having covered a shade under 79000. It has service history up to 68000. The interior is in really good condition with no damage with aircon and has a toad alarm fitted. The alloys are in really good shape too. Outside is solid with minor rusting on a couple of arches and at some point its had paint on the n/side rear quarter but have had a magnet on the area and it is metal not clag. It doesnt have a sunroof which is one of the reasons I bought it as I was hoping to trackday it but in the real world I wont have time lol. Airbag light is on and n/side window needs new bushes as it goes up/down out of alignment. It has MOT until Feb 2013 and Tax till end of Dec 2012. All in all it does drive really well with a cracking engine/box. I would like to swap for a Rover SD1 2600 or anything Rover would be considered, Tax and test not important, don't mind engine work as long as its not terminal. Other car will be considered as well. Thats a nice car. I have had 18 of them. The 2600 engine isnt a bad engine, sounds nice and pulls well. Wish I had another but finding them round my way (Leicester) is very rare now.

Thanks. It was a cheap motor that will suit my needs. I really reckon the wheels are hideous and will probably be sold when I get some more. Might even stick em on my van when I ebay it

Hi all I finally got round to registering after looking around for around 6 months, Its an amazing site you got here. I have 3 cars at the minute a mk5 Escort van, a Peugeot 405 diesel and the Audi in the pics. The Escort van is gonna be sold off as spares, The peugeot is a cheap old diesel smoker I bought to run around in while I sort the Audi. I have a fair bit of work to do on the Audi as its the V6 and suffers from the oil leaks from the rockers and valley gaskets. The interior isnt too bad with the exception of the very oily carpets. Body is spot on bar the front nearside door which is easy to replace. Someone at some point has done attempted to tune it with a big twin pipe exhaust, cone filter and alloys. All of which will be pulled out along with loads of amp wiring. The aim is to get it looking a lower with some better alloys on. Will post pics of the engine when I get chance to take some. I do not like the rims
