Russ did build a second Pop and it was bare metal. I don't know what happened to that one. His model A was an import that, as usual, turned out to be not as described. It looked good but was really badly built. Russ rebuilt it and last time I saw him it was an excellent rod. He stopped going to NSRA events and was going to VHRA events. I haven't seen him in a long time though. Last time I see Russ was over ten years ago At the brass monkey run.

That’s ridiculous, there will be no PO’s left soon as they keep removing more & more services from them. It will effect loads of people, especially the elderly & those in rural areas So true, I'm amazed there has not been more fuss made about it.

Problem over here is that modifying the chassis or bodyshell on a monocoque drives a requirement to effectively individually homologate the car meaning you have to do things like make the body meet the latest exterior protrusions requirements, have e marked glass, meet modern lighting etc, there is also a fair cost associated with it. Is the somerset not separate chassis?

It's curse word rubber, happening g to everything including fuel hose etc. I believe its to do with certain ingredients in rubber being altered to help the environment, but is costing us more. So make ya mind up over that.

Don't know if anyone will remember this short lived British car company ? Let me introduce the Connuaght Type D Syracuse 2.0 V10 hybrid or supercharged engine built in Wales. Well DriveTribe have found Tim and the car again . Strange and a bit of a blast from the past for me as I worked for them from around 2005 till their demise , did lots of development and machining on that engine and car, ...................... also watched Tim reverse the mule into a Gilbern the only other car built in Wales musst have been the rarest crash ever, will have to have a look through my old laptop and dig out some photos Aren't they still in possession of all the unbuilt chassis etc? Yes they are.

Sold to someone who had them in the past, has a mk1 Granada. But is also a big fan of banger racing. Sold it Monday night, all paid for. But it still sits outside. Now registered in new owners name. So no tax, mot or insurance. Wonder how long he will let it sit there. Or will it get towed and crushed!!!
