really impressed at the work rate you manage, i seem to spend more time thinking about jobs than doing them, you seem to be able to get the ideas sorted quickly and move on, would have taken me years to go through the same build.
do you get manifold flanges cut by an engineering shop or do you do them yourself?

cheers guys, did a bit more googling for 'air injectors' and as you said seems to be an older way of boost control, also turned up this pic which is similar to the set-up i saw. so i'm guessing that they are just normal fuel type injectors or are they special?

Just curious: i was at Weston hall transport festival last weekend and spotted a glorious 3-door sierra cosworth, whilst eye-balling the engine bay i noticed an alloy block on the front of the engine housing 2 fuel injectors, these were actually plumbed into the boost signal line, mid way between the compressor delivery pressure tapping and the wastegate.
What's the reason for this? ; is it for adjustable boost control (perhaps an older way of doing things, pre modern boost control units) or is it to stop the wastegate opening early.
so are they repeatedly fired open/ closed to vary boost pressure or are they closed and just fired open once on the way up to making desired boost to stop wastegate cracking open early.
Cheers

yould register it in your own name or get a mate to buy it off the company for nominal fee :-) then get them claim the tax back before it is scrapped.

i did some side windows for my imp in polycarbonate, as mentioned above, a fine blade in a jigsaw worked very well . cover the area to cut with masking tape, easier to mark out and stops the sole plate of the jigsaw scratching the surface.
i got 4mm polycarbonate from a plastics place, the sizes i wanted were almost offcuts. i'd been warned off perspex as it goes brittle with age and can also yellow with age.

Dez,
your thread is one of the reasons i reciently signed up here, thanks for taking the time to share your build, looking mighty fine.
A few years back i created a similar curve in some square box section, i used a wheel as a former clamped it in the vice and pulled it round by hand, admittidly the inside wall hollowed in a little and the sides required squaring in the vice afterwards, but i was pleased with the outcome.
Anyway keep the updates coming, this is inspirational stuff.

top photo might be mid mock-up but did you put anything to stop the rear bearing moving? - the normal backplate retains it from going walkies :-)
