From personal experience fire damaged panels are 1) a pain to straighten and 2) and pain to paint. They ususally leave witness marks even if cleaned top bear metal , paint on top of fire damage just seem sto have adifferent appearance for some reason.
I had the same with a car with brake fluid damage, bare metalled , all panel wiped ,thinners wiped so no residue yet when painted the old brake fluid damage showed through as a shinier finish...weird.

do it 2 tone, paint the roof and pillars pale blue or something and the paint wouldn't have to match the non burnt panels.

It's not that you can't get a paint match, its that on the panels which are only partly burnt it will show through the new paint where the burn has been. Not sure why it happens its very strange

Looks like it got pretty hot. Shame, because it's probably bucked out of shape as a result. Vinyl roof is probably not a bad idea. Chop and a padded Carson top?

I thought any fire damage car was spares only so could not be repaired? I think that's only later model stuff as ongoing damage to electronics ( same with flood damage) can be an issue . There is also an issue with nitril' rubber' in late stuff creating an extremely corrosive acid when burnt. "There is a remote risk of sustaining chemical burns from Viton® O-rings if they are burned or otherwise exposed to temperatures above 600ºF. Viton® begins to decompose above 600ºF, yielding some nasty compounds including hydrogen fluoride. In the presence of water vapor, this can produce hydrofluoric acid, an extremely corrosive mineral acid which causes severe burns to exposed skin. Proper protective gear should be warn when dealing with burned Viton®. There is no danger in dealing with cured Viton® used within the rated temperature range.
