The time has come to part with my rotating grille... I now came to the conclusion that i'll NEVER own an AE86, because they're way out of my reach and if they where, i could buy lots more interesting stuff then an AE86 Had this for years (probably 5 years now?) and never used it, always stored in such a way it wouldn't get damaged. It's a complete grille, including the thermostat, so it's just a matter of make the connection to your water lines and off you go! 3 small pics, i'll make some new ones later today. €250,- + postage Location: The Netherlands, but i can always take it with me on a trip to the UK Contact details fire me a pm or just reply on here

*Stupid question alert* Does this open & close automatically dependent on the coolant temp? If so that is literally awesome! ;D

Yes, this opens and closes automatically.
It has a themostat which allows water through and "activates" the arm and swings it open. Old Skool tech at it's best lol.

Taken from an AE86 website.....
"Basically what it did was having a closed grille when the engine is under normal operation to improve the drag coefficient and when the engine is under stress it would open up to give it more cooling. It had a thermostat which opened the grille when the water temperature was hot enough. Then the grille would open up and show the twincam 16 logo instead of the Levin logo when closed."

That's the coolest thing I've ever seen!

Speechless at just how cool that grille is. Epic, absolutely epic, i bet very few are still working/on AE86's.

in Europe i haven't seen one the last 5 years! But that doesn't mean there isn't one!
as far as i know, it was only fitted to the prefacelift japanese APEX Twincam models.

I would suggest that you get a price for posting it to Ireland, and advertise it on a few forums and so on here, because this is the highest concentrated AE86 populated country in the world (probably).
I'll give you a few forums (or put it up for you) if you want to do that.
