Welcome to the board. I've seen your car around I think. The video (linked above) looks like the petrol garage in Stone if I'm not mistaken?

Thanks for the warm welcome dudes. Sink mate, hiya, someone beat me to the limey user name so now I'm just Mr . Rmad, well spotted mate!!!!!!!!! next time give is a hoot so I can look over your motor please. That's one hell of an observation. There's a whole rebuild stack of vids on YouTube. Search out ricks247 there's 20 or so of the rebuild and a few others too. Any of you meet up round Kent at all ? I have my own site and am in in a custom club too me . Just love old cars, especially ............old style street stuff. My motor was mean to be my stab at a mk2 granada rs. Does sound kinda different to most other granadas.handles very well too. Hope I was driving nicely when you saw me....................... I'm doing a meet at the ace cafe this Saturday with the custom club I'm in,that's where I took the pic above back in march. If you want I've got a million pics of the rebuild..........not very exciting though, mostly rusty holes ....and then shiny bits. sorry for any repeats as I coopied and pasted them from all over the place. the car is in year 3 of the rebuild at the moment so its still not finished. the car was rebuilt in the garden in all weather by me under the guidence of a couple of very good friends, rob and den. there may well be repeats and deleted pics here and there but here you go....... desperate measures taken to do the oil pump............. yep I got real wet and cold we cut the edge off with a mega thin disc and welded a new lip on the reverse side and then dressed it.. with a little patience most things are achieveable and heres the finished inner arch pics spot the difference between standard and now............ And heres the v8 being dismantled if anyone is interested And heres when I started the inside of the car a year ago. Ive got asteroids for it to keep things old school. Dvd played fine but we did have a small fire and once again, hallza to rescue. Hes an electrical engineer and pretty damn good too. He merges car wiring looms to suit engine swaps etc so the tv screen was a doddle. I'm planning on using the dvd/cd player unit to do everything and then run it all into the 80’s graphic eq. had to lose the nasty rad top from view so I had this made for a tenner at the same place I bought the metal for the scuttle cover from. proper handy place to know! perfect folds etc, just drew a pic with details on and that was it....oh and cash can leave the bonnet open at shows now!! what dya all think??? and also rob was correct, the damper on the carb is now adjusted and the old girl ticks over sweet as . so I did the school run..................how much cooler than being picked up in a people carrier!!!! rewired the atari so the wirtes run under the arm rest , under the carpets and up into the centre consol etc. looks tidier I think. stainless steel cable tied the .....everything too. heres some pics anyway Heres the turbo repairs. The sumps were spares….one will have an oil return pipe fitted into it for the turbo

nice i love that. actually proper love it. Fantastic car. I particularly like the cheese-tastic dashboard colour, it's the colour of dodgy 70s bathroom fittings.

Looks mean, though a set of 16x8 or 9 BBS split rims would finish it off a treat.

Thanks, the whole inside was that "grand parents bathroom " green fablon stuff till the wife snuck out and stripped it back off. Wheels are actually 16's and not easy to find. These were buckled when I got em too .hell or high water they were going the car. So I had em repaired, machined powdercoated and laquered. All the other rs of this type seem to be 15's. The car was always gonna look the way it does,I sold my Mr2 and used the money to build the car......that lasted a year. Now it owes me 4500...........but I do now have the car I always wanted, driving the way I wanted and sounding .....you get the picture. I've owned it for 18 years and it was a dark green 2-3gl . Can't really sneak around in it either now . It's not mega fast but its enough for now. It handles like a go cart though. Tends to ground out a lot as well. It's sitting 4-5 inches lower now than it originally did. Although it looks sweet in pics it is a "look what I made myself at home " car and isn't perfect . Has won a couple of trophies this year though. I was offered features by numerous mags .....had pics requested etc but nothing more. Capri and escorts are in at the moment so they are probably catering for the market. Also, there aren't many fans of modded granada in granada world, everyone wants the show condition 2.8 ghia x,I just wanted to put something out there that screamed "I don't care what you want! I'm low, loud, old and still loving it " at the classic car world. I have most of the parts to turbo the old girl now so I may do it as a winter project. Not many turbo carbed mk2 granadas out there. I'm also building up a 3-9 rover v8 just in case......you never know.

I was parked parked along side the guild at a show all day and they ignored me...not even a hello. but I'm not gonna go on about it. nadaman,is that a 2.9efi packing a pair of pipercross filters I can see there ? A good friend of mine had the 2.9 in his mk2 and it was very lively. of opt for that engine over the 24v one having been in both but its just my opinion. Tis nice to be different, when you see people at shows they say stuff like,oh a granada......my dad had one of those. with mine they just stare and smile. the fact that its a Ford colour probably helps, and also the fact ive not seen another mk2 in it yet. when twas painted the garage called me to make sure it was the right colour. when it cake out the booth apparently everyone just stood staring. I asked him not to do any others in the same colour too. colour is highland green. hopefully she'll last couple of years............. really fancy a mk2 tina next......same simple styling,a four pot ,banded steels, slammed and in that copper the Lexus is200's cake in. Maybe one day. This has taken 3 years ,almost caused a divorce and more than a few times been abandoned for weeks at a time. Hopefully I'll be at the ace this Saturday so hopefully ill get some nice pics. Just bought a back issue of fast Ford too, apparently its in that somewhere??? Do you all meet up anywhere ? Would be nice to see some your motors
