nadaman,is that a 2.9efi packing a pair of pipercross filters I can see there ? Hi Mr, yes its a 2.9i with factory 5spd gearbox, its had the engine detailed, painted etc and pipercross filters, much better than the K&N alternative that fall off all the time, they are a very poor design for the 2.9! There,s some pics on here somewhere if you want to take a look. Ive had 14 Grannies now all mk2&3, mostly modded, i had a mk2 police traffic car when i was 18, that was a right laugh too I must admit i find the Granny clubs and forums a bit odd tbh after all a car fan is a car fan in my book irrespective of what they want to do with it, think thats why i spend most of my time on here ;D That colour looks great on the car, if somebody described it to me id thnk hmmm, perhaps, but it looks SO right!! You must be very proud

thought so,i could see the lumpy foam edges that pipercross do. when I picked the colour nearly 3 years ago no one else had green cars? ? then around 18 months ago everyone started greening up their old fords. utterly gutted!!! I had already done all my boot, door shuts and engine bay. thats why I started the club ive got now, theres no "thats not a standard part" in there. funny how all mods are shunned but a webber carb is ok? ?? I love the way the car looks to be honest, when the spray shop called double checking I said just do it,its not like I can afford to change my mind afterwards. best move I ever made. I has a full rs motorsport kit for it too but opted for the smoothed out look instead and sold it all.....except the front spoiler,i luuuurrrrvvvvveeee that. its rubbery and just rubs over stuff where a fibre one would split . ive got 4 1/2 inches ground clearance so things have to be bendy flexible. there was a corsair at battlesbridge in a light green,id have swapped there and then if the owner had offered,it was stunning and untouched, even sitting on lotus rims too. anyone got any pics of the show ? it was in the main club area.

Love this, had a white 2.8 GL back in the late 80's, brilliant motor. Nice to see someone doing his own thing regardless, keep up the good work.

Thanks mate, this was originally a 2.3gl too. The original engine was still running at 174000 miles....all be it noisy and leaking oil. It was a good old engine though. Failed its mot on Saturday, luckily the tester is a granada specialist so after a few hours work it did eventually pass.
