Morning all, Dad bought this one a while ago. 24,000 on the clock 1983 Popular Plus Pretty good condition with an impressive home paint job... not its the back one... Decided that although the green is ALOT better than the pics make it look, Beige was the way forward, so slowly bringing it back to Beige. Progress so far: When she was paid for, she was a non runner, but knowing Mk1's fairly well, we decided it couldnt be that bad, and with a ten minute tinker, bam she springs into life like a spring turkey. I will add it went in for its MOT a little while ago, failed on exhaust we knew it would, headlight aim and windscreen wipers Good times Enjoy the rest Enjoy ! ! !

OMG, I wonder if I'm the only one who thinks that the green and beige go well together? I'm loving it, although having two outside means that you'll come under increased pressure now to go insane on one of them ,lol.

Leave the bottom half green! ;D ya can always paint over it later if you decided too! Good work saving another! What was wrong with it in the end?

Does look good that way, but it will be returning to beige, although it may well end up green bottomed... but wont be for a while. HT leads had seen better days, clean the spark plugs and an extra squirt of petrol job done

Go for beige top and green bottom, that paint scheme rocks.

1989 Peugeot 205. You know, the one that was parked in a ditch on the campsite at RRG'17... the glass is always full. but the ratio of air to water may vary.

Just curious but the beige bit is it hand painted or was it beige originally and your just stripping the green paint off to reveal the beige? Just noticed the very square edge on paint Rather than feathered when you spray

in this pic the rear quater and door isnt finished and theres no overspray or anything at first i thought the beige was hand painted but looking at it now I'm guessing the green has been stripped back to reveal the beige?

Such a while since updating this, it has now lost alot of beige... but still looks pretty good more to go. The beige is the standard colour, we are removing the top "proper job" cheapo paint with methylated spirits... long slow process. Will be at retro rides Alongside the other Mk1

you can flat the green away with 1500 wet paper then polish the beige up with compound,.

I'm going to add my voice to the beige over green chorus since it does look like an excellent colour combination. There aren't many (deliberate) two-colour Fiestas out there.
