been meaning to start a thread for this, just never got round to it. bought this about a year and a half ago. its just kinda to use every day and for collecting firewood, moving junk etc. when i first got it, was quite tidy, mettalic green, real plastic wood stuck to the dash, bit plain really. took the back seats out for space carrying space stayed like this for a while, here it is with the rest of the family up in the snow at dolwyddelan last year was a nice car but a bit too normal really, decided to slap some lights on the roof has been really reliable, just one of the rear leaf springs started to seperate , figured as i was gonna keep the car id put a pair of new springs in the back, and does get a fair bit of weight thrown in the back, got a pair of milner springs of ebay, about 120 with shackles and bushes and all new bolts, so not too bad i guess. original plan was to fit wider rims and tyres and lift the suspension. got some compomotive 10x15 alloys, never got round to fitting them though, found a littl bit of rot starting on the sill so had to sort that first. then when painting the patch id welded on with the paint i bought ya can probably tell where this is going... also fitted some chrome vitara 10 x15s that came already fitted with 265/50/15 tyres. i know i prob knocked lots of the value by adding matt black, but i loves it now and here it is with me latest toy, will start a thread for the spazda soon

Well contrary to my username i love these little beasties. Espicially the added vitara rims. Would love to get one but them seem really expensive here in Ireland. Will keep an eye on this and the mazda.

Sportraks are great fun! Quite a torquey little engine in these. I found the handling at speed to be pretty scary, although I'm not used to 4x4's.

handling was a bit"exciting" when i got it, would roll all over the place. was worse than i was excpecting. had a look underneath and the anti roll bar link had snapped. put a new bolt in and was much better. there was an even bigger improvement with the wider, lower profile tyres. handles much more like a car now. i was quite surprised by the moter. only 1.6, but i found out by mistake that it will very happily wheelspin the 265 tyres when pulling away. the new tyres are ace in the dry, but in the wet at roundabouts the back just slides out ,no grip at all... drift skillllzzzzzz

Me and my brother simplified the induction on the engine, and it made an unbelievable difference! The induction roar was insane, and it seemed to up the power quite a bit. It was a little bit "ghetto" as we just stuck a round filter element from a Rover P6 on it and got rid of the airbox and restrictive pipework, but with a bit more thought it could be quite neat.
Has yours got the adjustable dampers? They made a fair difference to the ride too I found.

This is epic.
Don't paint it black again, it must stay urban camo. The style/shapes/colours you've got is perfect. I don't think you could make it look better if you planned it carefully.
I know this goes against everything 4x4's stand for and against anything I've ever done to any of my own 4x4's but this would look SO cool slammed on those 10" rims!
Keep the colour, lose some altitude for instant hero status!
