Over the next few days ill be listing alot of tools for sale. All located in romford, essex. My stepdad was a mechanic and has recently died so I'm slowly sorting through all his stuff to get funds for the funeral costs etc not got very far yet but first things are a 1 tonne draper engine hoist. Good condition, not sure where the handle is yet but it will be around somewhere, hows 150? Also got a clarke 1 tonne hydraulic spring/strut compressor. This is vitrualy brand new 65? there will be LOTS of stuff available soon, just need to find bits of time to sort through stuff. Cant really do postage as we have way too many things to organise and sort out as it is. Ill sort pics as soon as I can and update too. Thanks.

we have a trailer too, steel, 2 wheels, about 5 foot by 3 foot load area, sides about 18 inch high.
plenty of patina lol
this realy will need pics but its usable. Needs de-rusting and painting really.
Ill check the wheels/tyres/bearings but it was being used for rubbish dump runs last week so must be reasonably ok.

Started taking pics of some bits. As none of this was mine some of it is hard to price so feel free to make offers. the hoist and strut compressor another pic of compressor Rat trailer (i think this is 4x100 ;D) turns out theres a bit of rot in one corner, rest seems fine though A series engines. I believe these were from our morris minor. I think there 998cc. Didnt reaise till i took the pic theres 2. I know nothing about them but they wouldnt have been kept if they were no good. Been there (in dry) for maybe 8 years though. Ill try and check they turn over. Make an offer and take em away isuzu engine, diesel. I know nothing about this but again, wouldnt have been kept if it was scrap. been sitting in the dry for a few years. Again, offers and take it out of our way T2 turbo with air research compressor housing. Ill get the nmbers from this if anyones interested. No idea where it came from. Has a VW logo so may be something to do with his VW van. I know he put a seat engine in his van, may have been from that and kept as a spare? If thats the case its fom a diesel. Tiny amount of side/side play at compressor end, no play at exhaust end. No in/out play. Seems good. This is very much the tip of the iceberg, not even got to his tools yet. There are also alot of other tools if its ok to post them here? I.E. wood lathes, crosscut saws, band saws, ripsaws, small compressor etc not to mention the hand power tools and hand tools. 3 garages FULL of stuff to go through!!!!

A little more digging has also thrown up a proffesional towing A frame. I seem to remember this came from the AA. I know nothing about these. Also got around 70 haynes manuals, probably best to say what you want and ill see if we have it. There really is rediculous amounts of stuff. He was a mechanic and builder all his life. We have tools for everything! Also plenty of wood LOL. At some point i think we may do a garage sale but if anyone wants to come rummage then that would be fine. Everywhere i look theres air tools, block testers, Co2 testers, grinders, polishers, drills, hand dools, taps, dies, files, wrenches its just endless and not very organised

The A frame is burried, ill dig it out but wont be able to get pics untill tonight. It came from a RAC man, not AA. Its the ones they use. Taps and dies, ill go through what we have and get back to you. Set squares, yes. old levels, probably. Air tools, ive noticed die grinders, drills, not sure what else. As for VW stuff, theres probably bits and bobs, theres new brake shoes, bushes etc. Ill let you know. Woodworking hand tools, theres loads. Saws, chisels, lathe chisels, planes, power sanders all sorts. he did alot of building carpentry and a fair bit of antique furnature restoration. Rover manual, we have a 2000,2300,2600 1977-1987 manual. That cover what you need? I will be coming back to sheffield in a week or 2 so i could bring stuff back up that way, but nothing too big. As i sort stuff ill put things in piles that people have asked about. We have pretty much everything! Got toolboxes everywhere. As i say, if anyone is local it may be easier to come over and we can hunt through together. I know where stuff generaly is but theres no spare space to put the organised stuff in
