Hi all, attended the Shuttleworth show for the first time in a few years. Saw some interesting oddities, which i'm sure most of you will have seen before but I certainly hadnt. Stag engine in Herald. Never seen this done before: Zetec head on a morris 1.8 block apparently. Can anyone shed light on this? cant be a bolt on fit surely? But gets around the problem of fitting the block in as its original fitment!! Mini on Suzuki Rhino running gear: Electric Car: Westfield: I mentioned this car in the thread about Diesels in classics. Fitted from new with a Perkins this slightly ott blinged motor has been on the scene as far back as I can remember. More general not often seen cars. On the way to the show, i saw what i think was a Citroen GS panel van but as i was driving, couldn't take a pic. But never realised they did one.

That Marina has been featured in PPC. I think there was a fair amount of work getting the zetec head on.

Ken B, the B doesn't stand for Bridges by any chance does it? If so I believe you know my Uncle Pete Triggs, do you still own the green Van w/ the windows? I loved that Van.

Yea thats me for my sins. I do know your uncle. I do get regular updates on his and your Auntie's poor health via AOC members. Very sorry to hear all that. I no longer live in the area, so visiting him is difficult for me., but i do intend to get there this year. Sadly the green van was sold(long story didnt want to) to a guy in London who has since put the sides back in the van, tis now awaiting a re spray. I only have one roadworthy van now and that being the one in my sig.

Yeah it is a big shame, to be honest, I'm not sure you'd really recognise them anymore they have gone down hill so much, but I'm glad they're still thought about etc. My Uncle no longer owns any of his Anglia's anymore (as you probably know) however he does still own his Mk1 Cortina. He is in for another operation on his Liver in the next few weeks so if he pulls through again and recovers enough I intend on taking him to a show in it before the summer is out.
Glad the green Van is still about, although it seems a shame to have taken the windows out, that was what made it unique for me, however the van in your sig is certainly a looker too, whats the spec on it?

Running a Zetec, don't want to say too much as it will be appearing in Retro Ford in the not to distant future. Bob along to Classic Ford show it will be there.

a lot of classics were offered with that Perkins diesel yonks back. The Mk2 Consul was, Mk3 Zephyr was, there were also Diesel versions of the Oxford/Cambridge Standard Vanguard and others. Can't recall who supplied those.
