thanks! i just replyed to it! The Chaser had a great weekend going to RRG09! Did almost 1200 kilometers in it, without it missing a single beat, even got the fuel consumption at acceptable levels, 27mpg (sais google, i measure in km/l ), 14mpg is easy to reach Did a run on the dyno from TCS Performance, even though the stupid autobox wasn't cooperating. It shifts up at the end of the revrange, even though you press the manual button... That gave a peak power at the dyno of 200bhp at the wheels. which is quite awkward, seeing that the engine produced no more then 150 at the flywheel when new... a few runs later they stopped it JUST before the upshift and i got 118 bhp at the rear wheels, which isn't too bad for a car with 200.000km experience i filmed a few runs, here's just one:

went to the UK yesterday together with John a.k.a. GTVSaviour and his Mitsubishi Shogun 3.0 V6 to pick up 'some stuff' ;D Yup, that's right, a 2 liter straigh six twin turbo, manual!! Drove 700 mile yesterday (well i didn't, John did!) through some typical Belgian roadworks (bad!) and English traffic (jams) to pick it up. Got a LOT of spares with it (oilfilters, piping, spare clutch etc. etc.). Berendd trying where the FMIC should go... Can't wait to get it in the Chaser and get rid of the sick n/a engine (using 1 liter of oil every 150 km, just started after i confirmed buying the twinturbo engine!). Had a quick look at the turbo's and they are both in very good condition, no play on the shafts at all! Engine has only done 60.000 miles, so they should be fine! Thanks John, you are a LEGEND!

They sold them in other cars too, like my Chaser/Cresta/MarkII, the Soarer and probably some more ;D

Well - after 31 of 37hrs in the driving seat - pushing a 4X4 up a hill, at 2am, after running out of fuel (don't ask!) and having ALL major motorways in the NL closed for my journey home - I actually had a real laugh. Was glad I could (for a few hours) say I had a mid-engined Shogun. Looking forward to helping out with this and obviously test driving the result Glad you're happy with it - enjoy the PG tips and I'll be up to see you guys (and lend a grubby hand) again soon. John

straightforward ish need to fit a clutch master and slave cillinder, find or make front half of driveshaft and wiring (but I let someone else do that, the big bananabox full of wiringloom scares the hell out of me! ). oh and need to try to fit the intercooler, Chasers only came with topmounted watercooled IC's and a small, extra rad in front of the normal rad. The second generation 1G-GTE's used an aircooled intercooler in front of the normal rad, so I have to try and make it fit ;D ). And an exhaust... Engineblock is the same, so should slot in like it should be there!

down you go! really needed to sort the down, nose up stance, so ordered some RallyDesign stuff (extra set of sleeves is for Dennismo's Celica). Gives me a chance to use my camberplates too and dail in a bit of negative camber at the front to level the front and the rear camber a bit )
