The worst thing about my MGB is the location of the battery being located under the rear seat which means accessing it involves removal of the rear seat base and then the horrible metal battery tray cover thats a nightmare to remove - anyone with an mg will know what i mean... The best thing about it is the fact that it makes me ;D everytime i use it and its nice to think its British built.... Whats the Worst and Best thing about your Retro Ride?

Good question!
I'll start with the Merc: Best thing: the ride. I can drive it all day and I'll get to my destination as fresh as a daisy! Worst thing: it has the cornering ability of a charging hippo, and it's way too slow.
The Mk3 Escort: Best thing: it was only fifty notes! Worst thing: Not low enough!

Cortina. Worst thing; Oil smoke. I know i've only got myself to blame for this cos i've been meaning to change the engine now for ages but its getting to the point where it uses more oil than petrol. Best thing; Going down the shops to get a packet of fags and seeing the way people just stop in their tracks and watch you go past. Escort. Worst thing; Probably the rusty bits or the fact that i don't get to use it as much as i should. And it really needs slamming. Best thing; It drives like a nearly new peach and i havent seen another one since i got it. Minor. Worst thing; Rust. Lots of it. Best thing; Errrrrr, it smells nice

My Monza Best: Excellent handling, really good ride quality. ;D Worst: The fact that I have to sit with head on an angle as my its against the roof. My MK1 escort. Best: The sound and the amazing grin factor ;D ;D Worst: In 9 years of ownership its only been on the road for 1 although it has been in use off road quite a bit of it. The rest (Piazza 1,Piazza2, MG maestro, MK2 Escort, Locost 7) Best: all cool cars in their way Worst: All of them projects of one kind or another

Imp best bits, the ride is great, working on it today and took it for a spin afterwards, cant get enough of it, like a supercharged go-kart, love it! Worst bit getting overtaken by asthmatic 87 year old cyclists.
Mk2 Onion best bits ....... um....I don't get overtaken by asthmatic 87 year old cyclists and worse bits it smokes like a late 80's Ford and is beige.

Alright then... The Imp Best thing- It's bloody great to drive, like Imps usually are! Worst thing - There's loads still to be done to it before I have it how I want it. That and the colour! ;D ;D ;D ;D The Volvo - Best thing- A combination of being so bloody fast, so bloody comfortable, and so bloody cheap (£3500 for an ex diplomatic limousine that's in perfect condition and will hit 150mph isn't bad going! ) Worst thing - It actually belongs to my dad, just that seeing as I picked it up for him and I help to keep the thing in good order he doesn't object to me using it plenty when the Imp's at it again. ;D ;D

Best bit about the escort is its RWD and its tatty so i don't mind if i thrash it and/or crash it Worst bit is the wobbly brakes, Maybe its low value compared with 2door but then thats good because of the above

OK I will give it ago Cavalier SRi, I Loooooovvvvveee it, changed most stuff to make it what I want. She lowered 35mm on adjustable shocks quick rack, huge brakes and the engine is the best bit, a lovely 200 horses and a sound to die for. Cavalier Calibre Drives nice and looks nice, it's slow handles like a boat and the brakes don't work lol But hoping that most of these problems will be put to bed soon

the escort-
best point either the pleasure it provides me at every roundabout, wet or not. or the looks i get driving it
worst point - the respray is shoddy or the dead spot from 1k-1.5k which makes me look like i cant handle the clutch for shizzle

Hmm, my golf, the fact that EVERY curse word in fiesta/nova/corsa/saxo wants to race me, and the fact I'm scared to leave it anywhere.
Best thing, chuckabilty, amusing looks from passers by, the lack of rust ! ;D

The CDI Worse bit...the location of the ldle control valve on the XE's whoever thought of putting this under the inlet and above the starter, encased in heater hoses wants stringing up. Best bit........the sleeper image and 150bhp on tap ;D The cabby Worse bit.....still trying to get it finished The best bit....The noise of the V6 and the torque ;D

KHGC110 Skyline; Best Thing: It's unique styling, awesome sound, flame spitting and it's just generally marvelous Worst Thing: Fuel Consumption and Rust to get rid of and amount of money it's going to cost me to RB26 it. N910 Bluebird Best Thing: It cost me $50NZD, and less than $400NZD all told to get it on the road and legal Worst Thing: Compared to the Skyline, it's a slug, and it's pretty inefficient as well.. could be that carb upgrade I did though... hmm..
