So we plit from Brussels just after mid-day and headed down to the Tunnel. We were a ‘tad’ early (read 9hrs!) so chanced asking – and were roundly told to sod off – which we did, to Mickie D’s for essential fuel. The French lived up to their jobsworth reputation and were of no help whatsoever, so we ended up waiting the whole 9hrs. So we hid in a lorry park and talked absolute nonsense for a few hours.

After another motorway sprint, we crashed out just short of the M6 and grabbed an hour. Unfortunately Dave couldn't sleep in the back with the 70's louvres there - so put them on the roof. I totally failed in the spot dept. A couple of crackers went the other direction of course – 40’s bus and 30’s ish Jaguar. Camera skills totally lacking so missed ‘em. Did however have a couple of stars sharing the car park……

OB dropped me off 2 hours ago and should be home by 10.
Long old haul, excellent to see folks, even if only briefly – and another load of tat successfully gathered, dispersed and swapped. It’s what it’s all about……
MASSIVE THANKS TO ALL – I know I speak for Dave too when I say how much we appreciated the way the folks on here at RR pull for each other. Mojo boosting after a horrible few weeks – the projects will take a hammering as I attack once more.
Hopefully Dave will add his ‘arrived OK’ once he gets in (if he’s not too worn out).
