Interesting idea, it might just be me but I'm not sure if the rear proportions look right. However, I certainly couldn't do any better.

I hate the way Elanor looks. However might be a cheap way to get a glassfibre mustang body with a decent handling chassis.

Not a bad idea all in all.
Although I've never liked the idea of kit cars pretending to be something they're not (see also : the Fiero factory)
It would need the minimum of a crate 289 or 302 in there, never mind a hi po 428. Can you imagine if it was all done up and then there was the clatter of a 2 litre Pinto under the bonnet? So much more coin than £7999 already.
That said, it does look well finished, from the wibblepoo pictures put up.

24v will drop in and believe me my mates viper rep sounded beefy enough through sidepipes running one, cant stand the looks of elenor either, looks like someone opened a halfords store in the states and needed a promo vehicle.
wonder how much they'd sell just the shell for?

Volvo back as my main squeeze, more boost and some interior goodies on the way.

That thing looks surprisingly convincing.
However, the sound of a 4-banger coming from what looks like a 'Stang, is just not on. As dugong said, it would need a V8. By that point, you must be close to the cost of a real mustang.

With a bocephus sticker on his 442, he'd light 'em up just for fun

For £7999 this guy will turn your Sierra into an Eleanor Mustang Gt Coupe Replica. No he won't... you'll get the shell on your chassis, but you won't get a car looking like the one in the pics for eight grand. You'd either have to do most of it yourself or give him a lot more money.

The text seems to suggest it's correctly proportioned/scaled. A non-Eleanor version would make a great base for a racecar!

That looks really good! I'm not really a fan of replicas or kits for that matter but it looks really well executed. The Sierra donor could always be a Cosworth

They look like truck back lights of some sort? I thought SD1 at first but I'm not so sure.

Sierra as stock probably handles better than a gen 1 Mustang as stock. You can't really guarantee that theis kit thing will handle as well as a stock Sierra though. Maybe it does? Maybe its all to cock. No idea bout the weight and distribution of it vs. a Sierra.
Anyway, for £8K you get your Sierra which is chopped into a very unfinished Mustang lookalike, which will cost you proper money to finish off, and will always basically be a Sierra kit car.
Or for £8K you have a choice of about 3 1964-1967 Mustangs advertised as decent with T&T and a pair of more ropey sounding "needing restoration" jobbies for £4K - bothof which were convertables. For £8995 I saw a really nice '65 Mustang with a tuned 289, 5 speed conversion and nice mags on it.
You want a light weight Mustang looking track car? Buy a Mustang and strip it out...
OK, the handling is wooly, but thats because its an early Ford strut style system and enthusaists have had 40 years to work out how to tame that bump steer and camber issues. Plenty of kits on the market to sort that. Out back, its a nice simple live axle on leaves. Loads of cheap and easy solutions to tame the wheel hop of a powerful V8 in one of them and jobs a good un.
Why spend as much, if not more money building a replica then you would on buying the real thing?
I get Ferrari replicas and replica Cobras and GT40s. The real thing is more money than a house. But Mustangs, although not dirt cheap, are still afordable if you put your mind to it. Certainly as afordable if not more so than that kit.

Buy a Mustang and strip it out...OK, the handling is wooly, but thats because its an early Ford strut style system.... Negative, AK. Mustangs right up through Mustang II were all double wishbone IFS. It was the introduction of the Fox chassis Mustang in 1979 which borrowed the MacStrut inspiration from its primary design influence: the Euro Capri. All subsequent Mustangs (79-up) have remained front strut.
