hello, next friday i'm gonna drive to RRG08 from the netherlands. I only have this as a sound system: So i'm stuck to AM/FM frequencies. Anyone can give me some frequencies of nice UK based radio stations? Overhere we have a station called 'Arrow Classic Rock' which play some 60s, 70s, 80s and 90s rock and some new songs. Is there anything like this in the UK? I've found Planet Rock (or something like that) so far, but that is only broadcasted in DAB, which, strangely, can't be received by my radio ;D

Virgin is going to be your best bet on 1215AM, the rest of the airwaves over here play mainly what's in the charts. Virgin ain't great, but it'll do. Obviously Planet Rock ftw if you happen to find a DAB tuner on the way here tho

yeah, i can buy DAB radios overhere too, but there's no way i can hide such a newstyle funky tuner in the Datsun Bluebird from Dennismo without cutting holes in his dash or something else, so that's why theres no decent radio in yet!

Was more worried you'd feel you HAD to buy one due to the crappy radio, more than that you couldn't get one there I just have my iPod hooked up most of the time. ^^

nah, ive got a decent 90s spec Pioneer Radio/Cassette player with 6cd changer ready for that car, but no decent spot to put it in, maybe need to find a tuner wich has the possibility of a remote, i've seen it once on a Sony, a little joystick which controlled the radio.
But no luck in finding such an unit yet, so that's why i'm stuck to the old radio ;D

you could get arrow in the UK?
Cool!
Indeed they changed to another frequency (read: LOADS of small area FM frequencies all around the netherlands, so i don't know all of them...).
They should have stayed at the 675AM, it was lovely to drive around on a hot summer evening with Arrow on the 675AM blasting to a 4Watt speaker powered by an original radio ;D

what you need is a pure highway dab thingy it can sit in your car pick up the dab signal and send it to your existing radio no cutting needed others are available but the pure one is the best known

Capital Gold broadcast 60's/70's/80's on 1548 AM in London but I notice they are now on other frequencies close to that round the country. I see they've got a website and you can listne online in advance: www.mygoldmusic.co.uk/Virgin do a good mix. 105.8FM in London and surrounding areas, good signal on 1215AM as mentioned if you need AM. Atlantic 252 Laser 558 still broadcast anyone? Radio Caroline (no, I'm just dreaming now...)
